For those of you who have done any of the Disney Cruises, where have you found your scrapbooking items? We're doing 9 days at WDW this July and are thinking of booking a Disney Cruise to St. Maarten and St. Thomas for April of 08.

I have basically bought everything I need for our upcoming trip but I'd like to start collecting stuff for a Disney Cruise. Plus I know Disney has specialty albums for each year and such, do they have any for a Disney Cruise?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!!!

DCL does have both page kits and extra stuff for their cruises. I have gotten kits both times we have cruise. I think they where $15 for each kit and they had two different ones. They also have dates on the (the year), so you should wait until next year to get them if that is when you are going to sail. I did not get one if their albums because I wanted lots of extra pages. I used about 60 pages to do each cruise album.

Hope that helps,
Shawna

Here is a picture of the album that I bought on our cruise in January. I know I bought a scrapbook kit too, but I can't seem to find it. Now where in the world did I put it? :scratchin

It was $28.00 and it came with 15 page protectors and several sheets of cardstock! It's hard to see in the photo, but Mickey "pops" off the cover just a little, giving it a 3-D effect.

Is it possible to get the UPC number off the back of the album cover? Also is it a 3 ring binder or post bound. My best friend is going on the cruise in Dec and she is hoping they still have them in stock. I have the WDW merchandise order number is there a different one for the Cruise Line? Any help I could pass on to her would be great. Thanks for any help.

The number on the UPC sticker is 00152 44212. It is post-bound. Hope this helps!

The Disney Cruise Scrap Albums are great!! They come with cut outs/photo frames/misc. items.

Some items that I saved to scrap were:

cocktail napkins
Mickey portraits from the Mickey drawing class
Ribbons won by the kids for "Toad Racing"
daily itineraries
cruise docs
foil wrappers from bed time chocolates
professional photos/personal photos

Also, the luggage group tags from the end of the cruise, they have characters on them, and are sooooo cool for scrappin'! I actually bought some on ebay for like $2, for the whole set, cuz i haven't been on my dcl cruise yet..

there are plenty of the end-of-cruise luggage tags by the main desk on the last night if you want them.

I know,, i am planning on stocking up when we cruise, but this was only $2 for the ones i got on ebay, and for me it was worth it, as i got them about 6 mo. ago, and like i said, we aren't cruising til Dec.. So, it was kinda nice to have them to use in my projects for the cruise -- like an autograph book or something..

I bought some really nice postcards at the store on the Magic. They look great in my album. I also put in --

- pirate menu from Pirate night
- tickets for any shore excurions
- luggage tags
- a 5 x7 photo of all the characters n castaway Cay autographed - you can buy at Shutters
- stamps from the post office at Castaway Cay
- I mailed myself a postcard from CC and it is in my book - looks great!
- cruise tickets
-characters autographs

I have been on the Eastern cruise(just returned a week ago). You will love it! I will use a regular album and I am a big fan of making my own paper piecings, etc for my scrapbooks. Of course I have seven trips to Disney, a trip to California and a previous cruise to scrap first...LOL......

Oh, there's a DCL coloring book that was relatively inexpensive in the shop on the Magic... some neat character pictures for templates, paper piecing, etc. Just be sure to hide it from the kids .... or get them their own!

What about scanning in pages from the coloring book into your photo program then coloring them in online.. i think that would be cool..
