Disney Cruise Line?

I know there's a Cruise Line Board but I wanted to post it on here so I can get everyone's opinion! All my friends love going on cruises and go every year but I've never been on one because I always go to WDW instead. My friend was talking about the cruise she just went on and said that she had heard that Carnival is way better then the Disney Cruise? I just can't see how this is possible! Maybe it's just me but I don't see what's so great about cruises in general personally I'd rather ride Rockin Rollercoaster and wear mouse ears l(i know they have package deals where you can go to the park for a little bit and then cruise i just can't see myself wanting to leave WDW after a couple days) lol So i was just wondering if you've ever been on a Disney Cruise what you thought about it?

I really like the Disney Cruise, I think that the Carnival might have more activities on it, but the Disney Cruise is more oriented to Disney, so they mostly just have Disney things where as Carnival as alot of different things. So if you like themes then you will like Disney and if you like doing like alot of different things then go on Carnival. but I really like the DIsney cruise...

you know, i like the cruise better than the parks. the parks are fun and magical, but i feel no need to go back. but the cruise is calling to me. i love it.
i would never go on any other kind of cruise line. i am afraid to death of being assaulted and disney has a clean slate (that we know of) and it's oriented towards every age group. we were talking to a couple from New York, and they said the ship was more oriented towards adults and casinos. apparently the clubs sucked (like the age group ones). though, i wouldn't mind going on the Freedom Of The Seas... xD

not true. they have the same amount of fun. maybe more. it's kind of funny how the parents are like dragging the kids out of clubs but the kids are screaming that they want to stay because they are having so much fun and blah blah blah. and it's more like the cast members really care about whether you're having fun or not. in disney, they do have outstanding staff, it's called they just have WAY WAY to many people to actually pay attention to each individually. on the cruise, you feel like all they want to do is satisfy you.

I could see how you would get more attention. Did you think the teen club was fun? The kid one looks awesome I'd be tempted to go to theirs lol

it's awesome! there's probably not as many games (like computers and stuff) but there are two PS2's, two game computers, one internet pc (of course for a fee), a large video screen where they play music videos, a drink counter, a room with two machines that have a whole music library on them, and some magazines. there are lots of trivia games and stuff, it's reallly fun. they have a magician named Mike Super onboard who sometimes goes up to the teen club and does a special show. he makes everyone write their initials on a playing card and somehow makes it stick to the ceiling. this is on the wonder. it's really cool. the counsellors are really nice and if you get bored they'll do something with you. though, beware Gez loves card games and will probably get you to play with him or he'll have the whole club playing poker.

I've never been on a cruise...but I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to go on the Disney Cruise sometime...I heard that it's REALLY fun!
