How early do the transfer busses get you to port from the resorts?

Depends on how many stops after they pick you up. We usually got to PC between 12:30 and 2:00, if everything goes according to schedule. There was (who knows how the system will resume) no set schedule, rhyme, or reason for how they determined the busses for all the resorts.

Early afternoon, typically. You will definitely not be among the first to board. That has an upside and downside. Upside is that you'll likely board the ship after your stateroom is open and be able to immediately drop your hand luggage off there. Downside is that if you had wanted to be among the first in the pool or on the waterslide, or at Dining Changes, etc., that isn't going to happen.

Given the price and later arrival we will plan to do a private transfer via FL Tours. We will be resort to port also.

We booked a private transfer to get to port earlier and found we much preferred the late arriving buses! The port was so packed with people it was scary! When we arrived later via the buses we walked right on.

If you get to the port early you will be waiting in lines to get to the counter. Then waiting for your group to be called. Until the rooms are available the ship is crowed with people walking around many with luggage. We prefer to arrival around the time the rooms are ready, about 1:30.
