Disney cruise line first timer

Hi all, I just got back from a 11 day vacation at The World. Now i'm planning a disney cruise line trip for the beginning of 2007....Feb. or march maybe. Anyways this will be me and my fiances first cruise ever. I would like to make it a long one like 10 nights but on the disney site it doesn't give an option. All I see is 7 nights for long cruises. Can someone give a cruise noob some info or suggestions that I can start on...thanx

Disney only has short 3,4 day cruise or full 7 day. If your wanting a longer cruise I would highly recommend RoyalCaribbean on the Brilliance of the Seas to the Panama Canal. We went this past January and went to Aruba, Curaco, Panama Canal, Costa Rica and a Private Island. It was our 12 cruise and the most relaxing fun time we have ever had. RC has lots of ship board activities- rock climbing, inline skating, ice skating, mini golf to name a few.
There prices for a 10-11 day are probably still less $$ than 7days on a disney cruise.

DCL does offer 10 and 11 day cruises at certain times of the year. The wonder is on an 11 day southern caribbean cruise this week or next. Check the website for other dates. Their will also be two 14 day repositioning cruises next year on the Magic for the Med Cruises.

Right, there are a few DCL cruises that are longer than 7 days but not many. But a seven day cruise is a really good length. I normally would recomend a shorter cruise for first timers like a 4 or 5 day. Because you never know how you will do on a cruise. You either love cruising or hate it, my family loves it. Good Luck!
