My DW and I will be celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary this October with a 4 day cruise on the Wonder. We will be arriving at Orlando Airport on a Saturday morning and staying over night at the park. We have purchased the Disney transfers and what I need to know is will there be a Disney Cruise bus at the Airport to take us to our resort when we arrive on Saturday? This will be our 3rd cruise but only our first that we will not be doing with the land/sea package. What we need to know is are the buses at the airport everyday or only on days that correspond with sailing dates?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If I am understanding your question right, then Yes...there will be a disney cruiseline rep waiting for you at the airport when you arrive. As long as you purchased transfers from DCL. We just did the 7 day land and sea w/ transfers, and when we arrived at the airport there was a DCL rep there waiting for us...he took us right to the DCL desk at the airport and we were on the bus and off to our resort in a matter of 10 minutes.

Coach,

You said you will NOT be doing land & sea? if not, I don't think they'll provide airport to resort transfers. I'm not even sure if they'll provide resort to Port C transfers, you might have to go back to the airport. :(

Have you called DCL or TA and asked?

We are doing the exact same thing. We fly in Saturday
morning, May 29, 2004. We are spending the night at
Animal Kingdom Lodge. Then we leave on Sunday for the
port for the 4 night cruise. We are having Tiffany Town Cars
pick us up at the airport and take us to the resort. A Disney
represenative told me we would have to use Mears from the
airport or book our own transportation. I have not decided
yet if we will use Disney Cruise Line Buses to the port on
Sunday or have Tiffany Town cars pick us up. The pick up time
at the Animal Kingdown Lodge is not until 12:30. We would not
arrive at the port until after 1:30. But the buses would be
the beginning of the cruise experience so I will have to
decide sometime this week. Hope this helps.

My count down clock is incorrect we are on the May 30,
Wonder Cruise and we can't wait

If we arrive a day early (Friday- for a 7day) and setup transfer from the airport to the resort - can we setup transportation from the resort to the pier , then the pier to the airport at the end of the cruise, with DCL?? Where would the pickup be located at?

We are looking to stay in Disney the night before (not sure where) ...

Oh, I thought you were doing a 4-day -- so erased my answer above because I didn't think it was relevant.

We have done the 7-day and stayed at a resort before and after. You have to book your own transportation to the resort. The DCL buses only run on actual cruise departure days. If you are arriving on a day when the land and sea are arriving, you might be able to arrange with the DCL buses to take you to your resort -- but definitely call DCL FIRST to see if you can do this.

If you arrange with DCL to pick you up from the resort to the port, they will do that as long as you have paid for the transfers -- and also from the port to the airport.

However, depending on how many are in your party, since DCL transfers are $25/pp, you may be able to contact Tiffany or Happy Limo and get a package deal from MCO to resort, resort to port and port to MCO for a better price than paying for the transfers. That's what we did and it was actually cheaper (and a LOT more convenient since the buses make stops at other resorts, but the towncar is solely your's).

If you arrive any day other than the day your cruise departs, you can take the regular Mears shuttle to the resort. On the day of your cruise, you can take the DCL bus directly from your resort to the port. The DCL bus runs only on embarkation and disembarkation days. If you are going back to a resort after your cruise, they can take you there or to the airport. You can purchase all these transfers from Disney. If you arrive a day (or more) early, you can check in for your cruise portion at the resort. You do not have to be on the land/sea package to do this (but your reservations for the resort and cruise should be linked by DCL or your travel agent). Disney can take care of it all. DCL can book your overnight at the resort of your choice and arrange all the transfers. You will be in good hands. Disney takes care of everything. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Thanks for all the information. Yes, we will be purchasing the DCL transfers. I guess my question was a little hard to understand. I think what I should have asked was, are there DCL buses at the airport everyday to take you to your resort or are they only there on the days that correspond with land/sea and cruise departures?

Thanks again...
