Is there internet access in the cabins on the Disney Cruise?

Unfortunately not....There is the internet lounge, and Cove Cafe....

There is an unlimitied price per cruise, or per minute....

I think I paid 89.00 for the whole cruise for unlimited. It is pretty darn slow though. If you have dial up at home you will find it is fine but if you are used to cable then it will be painfully slow!

I could not agree more...At first we were going to go by the minute, after trying it out, we switched pretty quickly...

They really need to have some sort of Wifi or highspeed data connection in the staterooms like they do at a lot of the WDW resorts. Do other cruise lines have either of these options? Not looking to work 8 hours a day while on vaca but being able to access my office network (which I can't do from the internet cafe) for 30 minutes while the kids are napping will make me much more comfortable.

While the connection is definitely slower than what I have at home and at work, it wasn't as painful as dial-up, in my opinion. I was able to whip through my e-mail pretty quickly in the morning - although I will concede that I was doing it at around 7am before it got busy. It was nice to watch the sun come up and then get the "quick" work out of the way for the day, so maybe the fact that all 20 computers weren't busy was part of the reason for the speediness of the connection.

There are several ships out there that have WiFi in a number of public places, but I believe that so far only one ship has WiFi throughout the ship. I think it is a new Carnival ship that did this. Other ships on various lines are starting to expand WiFi offerings but it is still developing.
