disney cruise in November 05

We will be cruising the disney Wonder on November 10-13, 2005. Any feedback, good or bad? Are the seas a lot rougher during this time? Anyone who experienced this cruise at this time of year, I would like to hear from you with any suggestions. Also we will be taking our grandchildren, age 16 and 12. Any comments on if the cruise is good for them, especially the 16 yr old. Will he be entertained or is it mostly for younger kids?

If you check the sea buoy data at NOAA, you will find the average historical waves and wind (which causes the waves) are more pronounced in the winter months for the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico.

You can not predict what weather you will get, especially long range for a specific date. You could have a crappy cruise, weather wise, in May too!

Of course it is possible that you can encounter weather that negatively affects your vacation--that's true with any vacation. We all saw examples of that late last summer with all of the hurricanes in the Carribean. The fact is, it's possible but fairly unlikely that you'll encounter anything that would impact your vacation in any significant way. If that were not the case, you'd read tons of posts on this board about how vacations were ruined by weather.

We cruised late last October on the Magic. The were some rough seas, but it's a big ship with stablizers and other measures, and they were a non-issue. We are booked again for the Halloween cruise on the Magic this year!!

Our first Disney cruise was Nov. 2001. Had beautiful weather, but a hurricane hit the area the next week.

We cruised again in Nov. 2002, a week AFTER a hurricane hit the area. The water was a little cooler, and there was noticeable damage in the area of our Blue Lagoon Beach day excursion. We had a smooth sailing, no rough seas.
