Hey everyone! I normally post on the wedding forum, but I had a question for you guys! I have heard that if there is only two people in our group, sometimes they will stick you with another couple for dinner. Is this true? I only ask b/c my fiance and I don't want to have a romantic honeymoon dinner with two complete strangers!

Well, there are no tables for two in the main dining rooms, so yes, you will eat with others. :) Actually, I would go for a table of 6-8, you may meet some great other couples.

If you want to eat alone, you'll have to go with Palo or the buffet...or room service. ;)

There is a chance that you may have your table for 2 .
in the Main Dining rooms ..

However when you get on board this may have to be arranged..

Go To the Dining Room You are scheduled to Dine at the First Night and
ask your Head Server to arrange this for You...

My BIL and his Wife had a table for 2 on there last couple of cruises..

my hubby and i did this for our honeymoon 15 yrs ago (repeating in Sept for our 15 yr anniversary :) ). we had a table for 8 with 3 other newlywed couples. is was sooooo much fun! one of the couples was actually an hour away from where we lived in IL...go figure! we did alot together..scavenger hunts, games, etc and was a blast. remember that you have breakfast and lunch to do more on your own or Palos maybe??
We really had an awesome time eating with other couples and did keep in touch years after..great memories! I don't know if they put us newlyweds together on purpose, but it was nice. have fun!

I would not wanna eat with strangers either, they sould really try to at least fit a couple tables for only 2 in there. Goodluck!

On our honeymoon (technically we had been married 6 months but this was the only honeymoon we had)cruise we had a table for 6. Us and one of the other couples were honeymooners. The third couple were from England. We had a blast with them all. One of the newlyweds birthday was the day after mine and we were on teh cruise during both of our birthdays. It was nice.

Parties of 2 are sometimes put together to fill a table of 4,6, or 8. Sometimes, they are at a table for 4 with only 2 people seated there. I've been on 12 cruises on the Magic as a party of 2. Each time, it was different. Since you want to be alone, call DCL now (have your TA call if you used one) and put in this request. Most of the time, requests are honored in advance.

Once you are on board, go to "dining changes" and ask the head server there whether you are alone at a table. He will tweadle his computer and be able to tell you. If you are not alone, tell him that you wish to be, and he will make the arrangements at that time.

We were at a table for 4 on our honeymoon last year, with a really nice couple from just down the road in Cincinnati. It was nice to actually have somebody else to talk to.

Honeymoon or not, there's still going to be a time, long about the third day or so, when you're going to have a 'moment of clarity'.

Oh, you're still here.

I  my wife, but when you've known each other since the 7th grade (1986), you've been dating since senior year of undergrad (1995), and been living together for about 8 months, and you've been solely in each other's company for 96 hours, the well is just dry... :confused3

DH and I were on our honeymoon last October and seated at a table for 8 also. One other couple was honeymooners as well...Needless to say, we had a blast at dinner every night! There were 5 men and 3 women at the table, and every night, each of the 5 men all ordered TWO entrees each, so on any given night, there were 13 entrees on our table for 8, it was quite funny :rotfl:
My DH and I aren't really the candlelight-, romantic-, quiet-dinner-for-two type of people anyway, and as I recall, the dining rooms aren't exactly quiet anyway, there is a constant hum of activity.
If it's something you would enjoy, just speak to the head server and see if it can be arranged for you!

And...congrats!

My nephew and his wife just got back from their honeymoon cruise and they said they sat them with another honeymoon couple and they had a blast. Said they were surprised their had as many common interests, etc. Also said there was a table next to them with 2 other honeymoon couples and both those couples were "weird." :rotfl:
