My question of the day: Where were you born?Leah
I was born just outside London, England. DH was born in St Petersburg, FL and both the kids were born in Charleston, SC.

I'm looking forward to going on the Aqua Duck. Has anyone ever gone on it?

Welcome! I'm sure you will enjoy your Disney cruise. Our son (5) really loves going to Oceaneer Club.I just found this discussion board last night while researching snack options for the DDP at Disney World. We are spending 5 days at Disney World's Animal Kingdom Lodge before embarking on our Disney Dream Cruise. I'm Jane and will be cruising with DH (Jeff), DS6(Hunter), and DD4 (Hannah). We definitely want to participate in the FE and are in cabin number 5546. We'll try to make the face to face.
When is Pirate Night? I don't think we will be dressing up for that night since I just spent a small fortuneon Princess dresses and accessories from the Disney Store. I also booked the kids at the Pirate's League on January 31st at the Magic Kingdom. Should I cancel that appointment and schedule something on the ship? I thought it would be cool to board the ship with two little pirates.
This will be our first Disney Cruise though not our first cruise experience.

We are spending 5 nights at the Port Orleans Resort before the cruise. Be sure to get reservations for dinner at Boma's (African inspired food) while you are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We really enjoy it and try to eat there whenever we go to WDW.
Just booked this Cruise and would love to be on the FE list to share with you all. We are in room 6098, and have 2 kids: DS-8 and DD-6. Thanks all!!!! We are excited!!!!
We ate at Boma the last time we were at WDW and loved it so much that it was the first dinner reservation I made for this trip!
We also have reservations at T-REX (for just DH and DS), Cinderella's Castle and Be Our Guest (for just DD and I), Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey. I'm on the fence about Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey because I've read mixed reviews.
What are your other favorite restaurants?

mom x4 said:Since I don't see a question for the day today I will do another one:
If you have been to WDW which is your favorite park and your favorite ride?
If you havnt been to WDW before, which park would you go to if you could go there and why?
My answer: My favorite park is Magic Kingdom.
My favorite ride is the Haunted Mansion.

mom x4 said:We love Chef Mickeys. The food is good, it's a buffet and the characters do come right to your table. We have found if we reserve early when they first open, 5 or 5:30 it's not super crowded because most people like to eat later, so the characters have more time to say hello. They are great about posing for all the photos you want.
We have also seen Chef Goofy decorate cupcakes with the kids at dinner by the dessert area. Not sure if they still do that.
I havnt been to the Crystal Palace but I have friends who do it everytime they come to WDW and they love it. I really think you'll be happy either place.
Out of all the sit down restaurants Chef Mickeys is our favorite to go to especially when the grandkids are with us.
T-Rex is a fun place to eat. Be sure and take the camera there. We have lots of photos of us posing by dinosaurs there.
We have looked at the inside of the Be Our Guest Restaurant before it was open and WOW is it FANTASTIC. I think we took a photo of it if you want me to post it for you, or can let you be surprized. Let me know.

Thanks for the feedback on the restaurants! We'll just keep our current reservations, although I realized that we decided to eat at Tusker House this time instead of Boma.
I've seen pictures on the Disney Website and in newspaper articles about Be Our Guest Restaurant and Belle's castle. I can't wait to bring my princess to the castle. She has the Belle costume which I hope she will be wearing to dinner.
What time do you think we should leave the resort to make it to the ship in time? The kids have the first appointments of the morning at the Pirate's league so they should be done in plenty of time.
I've decided to join the FE
Amanda (DW), Dave (DH), Tegan (DD 10) and Bryce (DS 8)
I am not crafty, and thought I wouldn't be able to do it, but after reading lots of posts on the subject I think I can do it. Of course lots will be bought, rather than made, but I read that's ok. Now to work out what to use as an FE.
