Disney cruise character meet and greets

My family is cruising on the disney dream the end of august 22. We are hoping that the characters will be able to hug again by then. Wondering if any one has heard when that might happen. thanks so much.

I just got off the Disney Dream on Saturday. There was no hugging and you still had to maintain your distance. I'm sure it will be that way for a while....but that is just my guess.

I also was just on the Dream, no hugging. I don't think this will change in the near future, because most staff wears KN-95s, but Cinderella does not wear anything.

However, they do have a conversation with you, and the kids seemed pleased about that.

Our sep 4 cruise (Norway) just added princess meet and greet as an onboard activity (can book starting Aug 5)... I'm hoping means hugs and autographs like what's happening in the parks!
