Disney Cruise Brides!!! Part Deux!!

Congrulations on your upcoming wedding! As far as the sand cermony disney does not allow those :worried: (https://www.disneyweddings.com/cruise/faq/) its listed in the FAQ section on the Disney wedding site but an idea of including people is normal young children parts using adults, for us we are using his grandmother for our flower girl to keep her involved just a thought good luck with planning cant wait to hear what you decide popcorn::

LOVE the flower girl idea!

I just booked a 2015 Alaska Disney cruise for my husband and my 10 year vow renewal. There are so many threads here that I cannot wait to read! Any advice from past brides that did vow renewals through Disney? I am very excited because it will just be us, my mom, and my kids. Our wedding was wonderful and large but it will be amazing to say our vows together ten years later with our now family on the open seas in a more intimate ceremony! CANNOT WAIT!

Also, congrats to all the brides to be on this board, it is such a magical time =)

I just booked my wedding cruise for August 31-Sept 3rd 2015 on castaway cay! I was wondering when should I send out a save the date/invitation? I want to make sure there's lots of time for people to save!

Congrulations on booking your wedding  My advice on invites is to send them out as soon as possible! I let people know two years in advance very unformally and by the third day of people being able to book I had 15 staterooms and I am still about to send out save the dates and invites a year in advance :confused3 I think giving people the most time to save is crucial because the rooms get more expensive and they can save longer! My PJ is linked in my signature i posted all about invites you can check it out it may be helpful and i love feedback on them they took me 8 months :faint:

happy planning!

Hi All,

I have browsed this board a few times in the past. I was lucky enough to have been proposed to at WDW. such a magical time for me. My DF and I decided we would bring the magic to our wedding and get married on DCL. Our dates were just released last week and we are booking the wedding the end of this week. SO EXCITING.

We are planning an on board wedding for the same cruise, August 31st to September 3rd on the Disney Dream.

I love the support and love this board has for our fellow DB.

Happy planning!

Oh how exciting!! I can't wait to start planning. I just got my email with the docs attached. It all feels so real now. :):)

Quick questions ladies. I just got my planning guide documents yesterday and it says tentative date and it will be confirmed 45 days out but then it says sailing june 15th 2015. Is that my tentative date or just the cruise I am sailing? Because there is no way I am spending all of that money to have my vow renewal rushed on embarkment day. Any other brides that have the documents can you let me know what yours says? Does it have a different date then embarkment or does it just have the date that starts your cruise? Thank you!

It's the date you start your cruise. You'll get your actually ceremony time, date & location a lot closer to the cruise.

We are doing the castaway cay deal. I read in the stiff that the cake cutting is inboard immediately following. Does anybody know about this? Does this mean we can't rent a cabana and hang out? Do we have to get right back on the boat? So excited I can't breath!

So i was at first going to get married Castway Cay but then I was able to change on board so i can tell you what I had heard about the way it worked on Castway Cay day. Meredith told me that you have the cermony usually around 10:00am and its 15-30 and then you can choose to take pictures on the island for another 15-30 mintues and then you head back on board to do your cake cutting and reception for about another 1 hour and then after that you are free to enjoy Castway Cay :beach: hope that helps! I would try to email Mereidth though and get a detailed listing of they day

Hello Disney Cruise brides :goodvibes

I am getting married onboard the Disney Magic and I was wondering if anyone had pictures of the newly redone Keys? That should be my wedding spot and I have not had a chance to go back on the magic since the makeover. I wanted to add some decorations but not sure what I am working with so any ideas or suggestions of pictures of the new Keys would be great! Thank you so much can't wait for the new 2015 brides PJ's :cool1:
