Jen, have you tried calling? I am desperately waiting for the rest of my confirmations!

I need to find out if I need to bring sheet music. One of my requests was to have Somewhere over the rainbow played. I may bring it on a cd since I really like the Hawaiian version done by Iz.

Besty, thanks for the pic. I hope that is Imran b/c that means he has had lots of experience.

no point in calling, i'm still over a month out....it's just the process in general that i'm frustrated about.

I was told if it's not on the planning kit...you must provide sheet music for it.

Well I have good news and bad news...

Good news first:
I got my onboard coordinator, it will be Nombuso. Does anyone have experience with this person?

Bad news:
My MIL fell today and broke her ankle. She has to keep it elevated for 3 weeks and so she and my FIL will not be able to go on the cruise or to WDW with us for the week afterwards. :sad2:I know my DH is really bummed that his parents won't be able to go with us. They weren't coming out to see us at Christmas because they were having 2 weeks with us now. So our guests will just be us, our kids, and my parents. It's such a special day and so sad that they will have to miss it. We're all so disappointed. Right before we leave, too! We leave Wednesday night. My inlaws live in Tennessee and we live in California so we were definitely looking forward to family time together.

Good news:
It's just an ankle. She will get better! It could have been worse, for sure.
And all those t-shirts I made- hey save it for next year, right?

Christine

Oh Christine, i'm so sorry!! I would so be there for you if i could!! Are you on a DISmeet thread?? Is anyone on it interested in coming?? One of the girls from my meet is going to videotape the ceremony for me!

Good idea, Jen! My FIL was going to videotape for us. He has a really nice HD video camera. Maybe someone on the meets thread will have a video camera and can do it. We don't have one. My poor MIL, this was their first cruise.

Christine

I'm sorry Christine. Too bad I'm not doing a back to back, you're on the Magic the week before me! Otherwise I'd definitely be there. I took Jen's advice and also asked on my meet thread and had like 4/5 people offer to help me all. I was floored by how many people offered. My DH said, that these are Disney people after all. All Disney people are super nice (especially DisBoard folks)!

You have to bring sheet music with you, or the CD to be played. We brought a CD with our song.

Christine, what a bummer!!! She can't keep her ankle up on board? Just prop her up in a lounge chair and those waiters will take care of everything!!:thumbsup2

I think I will bring a CD.

Christine, I was thinking the same thing. She can't relax on a cruise? It sounds pretty relaxing to me. I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope things work out.

Question...

When do you get your proofs and how long do you have to decide which ones you want? So say your ceremony is on Thursday, do you get the proofs that evening and get until the next day to decide? What size are the proofs? Do they do any enhancements?

We provided a CD and they played that on deck for us...

Our ceremony was on Friday and we got the proofs on Saturday afternoon. We got to take them back to our room and go over them. We got the enlargements on Sunday morning before we got off

Our ceremony was Thurs., got the proofs on Friday night...had to make all the choices then, they had the pictures to us before we disembarked on Sat. The CD wasn't part of the package deal then, so maybe it is a bit different now.

30 days from today i'll be in Disney World!!:banana::banana:

And Brie says i should start receiving confirmations by tomorrow evening!! WOO HOOO!!

Well, now my MIL has changed her mind so they are going! We convinced her that they would spoil her on DCL. I called DCL and while all the HA rooms are booked, they said they would try to help. We got her a folding wheelchair, and hopefully our onboard coordinator will be able to get her a sand wheelchair for the ceremony.

We sail in just 2 days!! I probably won't be able to post many pics until we return from WDW on 11/21. So excited!!

Christine

Have a great time Christine!

And HURRY BACK!!! :rotfl: We need pictures!
