I am new to the world of Crocs but just purchased a pair for my 8 year old DD and my 2 year old DD to wear on our upcoming Disney trip. Thanks to the budget board I got Disney Crocs at a good price on Shoebuy :)

Anyway... my question is... I was thinking of buying a few Disney Charms to put in their Easter Baskets....but right there on the Jibbitz.com website it stated "NOTE: Disney Crocs have larger ventilation holes and are not compatible with Jibbitz"

Does anyone have any experience with this? Should I not bother ordering them?

My younger DD is 2 and just LOVES Mickey Mouse clubhouse and I thought she'd get a kick out of having the characters on her Crocs. :yay:

Thanks in advance for any input.

The jibbitz will not fit securely in the Disney crocs. They are made to fit in the regular crocs, but because the Disney crocs holes are shaped like Mickey, they are larger and the jibbitz will fall out.

Yep, they fall out. we lost almost all of them (we started with 6) out of my kids two pairs within a few days. The last one (a turtle) mysteriously held out a couple of months, but it finally came out the other day.

If you can find a button with the character she likes, or maybe have the talent to paint one on a small button you can make her a jibbitz-like thing to put in her shoes. I haven't tried this yet but I am thinking of printing out some small clip art and gluing it to some round buttons and then spraying some clear enamal on them and using these on my shoes. I will let you know if it works, and maybe I can have someone help me post photos because I am computerilliterate.
I made some thanks to others who had shared on these boards.
I found some shank buttons (the ones with the stub instead of holes) that I liked at Joannes fabirc store. I found red, white and blue stars for the 4th of July, fruit shapes, animals, cars, silver hearts, thanksgiving and halloween buttons. I then bought large buttons with two holes, you can use whatever your grandmother or mother might have in her button basket if they will share.
Make sure the button you use is large enough that it is larger than the hole in the shoe but small enough that you can push it through with some pressure. I used 3/4" on my regular crocs and I think 1" buttons would work with the Disney Crocs. I don't have any that size right now otherwise I would try. but you can bring the shoes to the store with you.
I used quilting thread because it is thicker and used 4 pieces of it. I thread it through the button, then through the shank button then back through the button and tied it in the back of the button 4 times. I really pulled and pulled on these once I put them on my shoe and they didn't untie or pull out. I think I would really have to catch it on something to lose it.
I have not seen any Mickey buttons other than at AC Moore in the scrapbooking section. These were flat with 4 holes through them, not dimensional. If anyone knows of any place to get dimensional buttons of the characters please share.
