Disney Credit card

We are going to WDW this summer and go to Disneyland every couple of years. Is it worth while to apply for a Disney Credit card for our trip? I am talking about the discounts not the points because my other visa earns great points.

Also can anybody tell me how to get a picture under my name? I know the answer is probably under my nose but I can't seem to see it.

Well if you are talking about the discounts you would have to think about how often you would use them. For examply one benefit is 10% off when you spend $50 or more at a Disney store. Or the free financing for 6 months for Disney vacations. Or 10% off select dinning locations at Disneyland.

We find that we benefit more from the rewards we earn from using our card. We general have about $130 of rewards a year to use. I charge things like my car insurance, DVC members dues, groceries and all big ticket items get charged to that card and we pay it all off monthly.

Click on "User CP" in the header on any page. It will take you to your profile. Click "Edit Avatar" and you can pick from a number of DIS ones, or you can upload your own photo (as I did). The specifications are there for uploading your own photos (certain number of pixels wide/high).

Oh, and you don't really get many discounts with your Disney Visa - 6-months no interest on vacation packages, 10% off at World of Disney, I think. You do get a special character meet-n-greet at Epcot and a free Photopass picture of it. You can sometimes book the newest discount offers before the general public, giving you "first dibs" so to speak. I know they did that with the "free dining" promotion this year.
