Disney Credit Card Question

Recently applied for a Disney credit card in order to take advantage of the $50 reward dollars. Haven't recieved card yet, and my question is, when can I expect to get the $50. Does it come with/ or after using the card? Our trip is scheduled for end of Aug. and I was hoping to use it then.

I read that you only get the $50 AFTER using it for the first time and then it will be after a billing cycle. Some have reported having to call to get that $50 but others said it was there after the first use.

I called today and was told that I can request my rewards card six weeks after my first billing cycle.

When I said that to me, that would mean AFTER the SECOND billing cycle, the customer service rep said she didn't understand my question and did I want to purchase some protection insurance?

So far, I am happy that I am earning Disney cash and that I'll get a $25 reward card for opening, but I don't feel I am getting a lot of other perks.

My first billing cycle closed two days ago and today I checked my reward balance and the $50 was credited already! I am pleasantly surprised as I kept thinking maybe it wouldn't be there yet. So, I ordered a card right away and then will top it off next month before my trip.

If you do check your balances on-line, it usually takes a few days for the rewards to post after your closing date.

Does anyone know if the $50 Disney Rewards Dollars offer is still out there? If so, I have a friend who would be interested in applying for the Bank One Disney VISA card (sure the offer was just a $15 Disney Gift Card when I signed up!!!).....I can't find a link to apply for a card online anywhere - anyone know of one - or must you be invited to apply??

I used the link marymrg posted last night to apply for my husband and the $50 is still showing. Note that there are a couple of punctuation marks at the end of the URL above that you need to delete to get it to work.

All I got when I got my card was a Disney pin. What a rip-off! Plus, I haven't received any of the bonus point offers.
