Disney Costume exchange on Dis Boards?

Just wondering if there is a place to exhange or swap Disney Costumes on the Dis boards? I hate to list mine on auction...it's gotten so expensive to list and accept Paypal, plus so many people are out there that want to scam you out of the money.

Anyhow...is there a spot on the Dis Boards to do that? I need a couple of Disney costumes this year too and WOW at the prices on auction sites!!! WOW!!!

I wish... My DS wants to be Ariel in the worst way. I have finally convinced him to be Flounder or Sebastion. That was before I looked for a costume. About $100. So I will have to sell him on something else. My son is in love with Ariel it is getting border line creepy. Just kidding.

That is a great idea! Maybe you can start a new thread, and list the rules and what you have for trade!

I think this sounds like a good idea, but if it doesn't work out, you could also consider listing what you have on your local Craigslist. Specify in the listing that the sale is cash only, and for extra safety, arrange the handoff of item for cash at a location away from your home, like in a busy shopping center parking lot or cafe or somewhere like that.

I agree that eBay seems to be more scammy now that it was back in its earlier days, but it's hard to go TOO wrong with Craigslist if you stick to cash only and do the handoff away from your home.
