Disney Convention Tickets

A friend ordered 4 tickets through the Disney Convention office. She received her package yesterday with her tickets in it and immediately linked those to her account. She then looked through the rest of her mail and realized there was a second package, with 4 additional tickets in it. She called to verify she was only charged for 4 and to ask what the other tickets were and to let them know she received more then she paid for. They had NO IDEA what she was talking about or how/why she received the other tickets. Is there anyway to verify the additional tickets she received are valid? They told her to "bring them with her just in case the tickets she linked to her account didn't work." If it's already linked with dining options, fast pass, etc. then why would they suddenly become "not valid."

All she has to do it link the other tickets to her DME and it will tell her if they are good or not
