Disney computer systems down?

Tried twice this morning to book MVMCP tix online-threw me out twice. Now I daren't try again in case it has booked them for me and I end up with duplicate tickets! Is anyone else having problems? I thought I wouold be alright at 8.30 (UK time) as its still the middle of the night for you in the States!

Oh, have I just answered my own question? What time does Disneys computer system fire up? :blush:

It seems the website is always having problems whenever I make bookings and try and give Disney money.
Have tried on three separate occasions now for MNSSHP party tickets and errors galore.

I had loads for trouble yesterday, it worked after 11:00am UK time. :)

This happened to us yesterday and when it finally worked it would not take any card that had come back "errors". As I keep trying mine and DH. Had to get a third card out to make it work, that I had not entered before.:confused3
 

The dining one is a nightmare. I have a thread going in the Dining Reservations section. Basically it won't let a bunch of us book anything 180+10 but we could see the times, and see them getting snapped up while we waited an hour until the phones opened, then another 40 minutes on hold.

I then was on hold with tech support for almost 30 minutes, and it still won't work. Multiple devices, browsers etc.

Wow, that would have been a nightmare and not a very magical experience. Hope you do end up getting everything you wanted, with out to much more hassle.

Yup, once declined I could not use it even after it opened at 11:00. Called the CC company twice and they insisted nothing came through their end, that it must be on the merchants side of things.

Companies often do routine and scheduled maintenance on computer systems in the middle of the night, so that could explain at least some of the problems when you try to access the system at those times.

And the better ones often put notice on their site explaining such.
 
Just got through but yes had to use a different credit card from the one I was using when it bombed out earlier so thanks for the tip. I have a theory-whenever I try to use the on-line system normal time in Aus=night time in US I have issues (eg creating account in first place, dining res). Whenever I have tried at a time when they are open (ie between 7am and 11pm US time the system seems faster and works better and I get in/make res etc OK? Has anyone in the Uk found similar?

I see my night time theory has already been put up -so I agree with you Laketravis-pain in the butt when the window of opportunity is so small unless I stay awake half the night (as colleagues have been known to do to get a coveted ADR!)

Omg. This! This was yesterday's experience for us. I did my best to remain calm while chatting with the dining cm yesterday morning on the phone. I spent 40 mins tripping to get mde to work and another 40 waiting on hold after calling.

Then I called mde tech support yesterday and they were no help. Had no idea how fix fix the issue.
 
Had issues here in the UK trying to book MVMCP tickets yesterday ended up ringing and booking.

Got both sets of errors (error with the system and then card declined) even rang my bank to see if they had blocked the transactions

Yes I managed to get mine booked and like you had to use a different card. I must admit I never gave a thought to the computer not being up 24 hrs a day until I started to post my original question!:idea:
 
I'm having trouble with the website too... I have a feeling that they're updating the website for the room discounts and free dining plan for this Fall. They're supposed to be released to the general public tomorrow (or so I've read)...
