Seriously, how many trips a year "satisfy" you? I have only ever gone 2x in a year (we had AP's) and even then I still wanted to get back right away. I don't really feel happy unless I have some kind of trip "in the works"...the kids are growing so fast and I don't know how much longer the magic will penetrate!

We're the same way, went alot when the kids were growing up, but now that they are married and gone, we still go to Disney alot. When daughter was in the college program, we went down 3 times that year. Then she came back and graduated from college and decided to return to Disney and try Florida for a year. Again we visited 3 times that year too, good thing we purchased AP's. She's since moved back and married but her and her hubby enjoy Disney as much as us and go with us to the magical place. We'refitting in 2 trip a year for the last couple of years but with her job and everyone getting vacation the same time is getting tough. She's our Disney child and without her, there would be no fun. We're scheduled for WL the end of August into September and looking forward to it, just came back from an October trip and its been too long inbetween trips.

I'm always plotting and planning, looking for deals and checking codes. I've always said, if I could fly, we'ld go down every weekend but I have a great fear of flying and we do the Amtrak deal. I love rail travel and with Disney at the end, what more can a person want.

Well, it used to be that every single three day weekend (we're close enough for that) was a "must-do". Still is. But then I introduced the Mouse Suicide Runs. Where we leave here on Friday night, drive halfway, get there Saturday late morning, enjoy Disney World, and drive back all day Sunday. No work missed but definitely a more positive mental attitude.

Do I have a Disney compulsion? Nope, not at all.

This coming year will be the true test of our compulsion...we're going for 7 days in Aug, 6 days in Dec, 3 days in March, and another 6 to 8 days July/Aug '07. We'll likely drive them all. We're getting our $$ out of our APs this time! :)

We benerally go once or twice a year. We last went in January, and it was mostly a IOA/US trip (never again :sad2: );we were at MK for only one day. We won't be going back until January 2007 and it is about killng me. I would love to be there right now.

Disney compulsion. Not us. We just moved from the midwest to be near the mouse, and now I work for them! :rotfl2: No compulsion here! :cool1: :cool1:
I am not ready for a 12 step program yet.

I'm fortunate enough to live close enough to go every weekend if I really wanted, but money and life doesn't always allow. We are AP holders and can't possibly get enough of the parks as it is. When the option of moving out of state came up, we vetoed it, solely because we simply cant be away from Disney. It's really an obsession, but one that I'm more than willing to live with. Again and again and again.

We are also without children right now, I can't only imagine how much more amazing it will be when we can take our kids and see the joy on their faces. What a way to make the Disney Addiction worse!

Others have said I have a problem but I don't see it  !! Its my happy place and I need to go to stay happy  !! To make me happy last year I did a girls trip in January :cheer2: , 2 weeks in June , 10 days in October and a romantic weekend with hubby in December :love2: !! I see no problem.

I have gone again with the girls this past January , we leave next friday for a week :Pinkbounc and 10 days for Thanksgiving. I also have a quick weekend in September pending (waiting for the air to come down), but we are confirmed for Disneyland in August. Just alot of clean fun, it can't get any better!!! :sunny:

Currently I go twice a year. Which simply isn't enough. My goal is trying to get DH to move closer, like in the same state, like within a 2 hour drive. LOL

We try to do 3 a year, 4 trips on a AP, but we've been adding in a DL trip too the last 2 years....

We have been going to Disney since the two kids were just 12 and 10, they are now both married, with their own family's. Still, they go to Disney when possible. The trip we have next week, one of them will be meeting us at the Beah Club, the other just got back from Disney's Hilton Head last week. But we seem to still enjoy going, and always looking to have a trip booked. We are booked and making ressie's for a Dec 06 trip. Daughter that just returned from Hilton Head got together with DW and their planning a May 07 trip which our 11 month window for booking is next week, so DW will be making that booking as we check in on Tuesday. Then our crusin'n friends called the other night about booking a New Years Eve cruise for 08, of course we into that too, only it will reduce a trip to WDW for that year. So, we just can't get enough, we seem to always have several in the works at one time, and the Kids love it just as much so we try to get there together when our schedules can meet.

Well, I had a feeling I wasn't alone with my "problem".... ;)

We used to go once/twice a year (for the past 15 years, LOL) and then three years ago we broke down and purchased annual passes......Wow! How freeing!!! :teeth: We have gone about 15 times in the past 3 years. It has become an issue. I go, get home, and NEED to go back. Pathetic. It is getting embarrassing when I have to tell people I am going away and where to.

I just love that place. :sunny:

Seriously, though, we do need to cut back on our WDW trips. and take care of some other business around our house. It's just so hard :sad2: (whine)....

I am going back for my 40th in about 2 weeks and I am not telling certain people where I will be spending my bday. I get sick of hearing - "Again???" "Why don't you try someplace else?" Honestly, we have and WDW has ruined it for us. We can't get enough. :goodvibes

Eegads, we all have it bad! :rotfl:

Yes, I too must contantly have at least one trip in the works! It is KILLING me, yes KILLING me that my DH has insisted we can't go next Christmas!   We have gone every Christmas for the past 5 years, and he wants to go SKIING!!! :crazy2: Still, I think I will try to sneak in a quick trip to Disneyland since we do have two weeks, and really, who can ski for two weeks????

AND, I am going for a week...leaving in 9 days!!!! :goodvibes

Wow, I feel so much better...I'm not the only one!

I've been going about 4x per year with my AP these past 3 years. I've racked up so much debt, I decided to move to Orlando next spring once I've had a chance to save some money!

Luckily, my company has an office in Orlando, and I'll be transferring, and I plan on becoming a PT CM, hopefully leading ot FT (it's my dream to be a FT CM).

Hopefully I'll be on these boards telling everyone to say hello to me at WDW next year!

We were doing 1 or 2 as a family then I was playing Paintball for a while with up to 2 times playing a year at WWoS so I would get to the parks or US/IOA on those trips as weel.

I have had a chance to hit Cali a few times with work and paintball an do DL as well.

I now want to do it 4 times a year. 2 on points June full week , Dec 4 or 5 weekdays.

Then get in a Spring trip and OCT trip at POP or just rent a few points if needed.

I'm not playing Paintball right now so thats freeing up Time and Money. DW told me when we got Married that I could only have one hobby at a time and now It's DISNEY .

I feel your pain. I am not content unless I have a trip in the works. Unfortunately, my kids are insisting that we go with them to Europe next year so I need to work around that.

We start planning every trip with the sentence, "This will be our last WDW trip for awhile. We need to spend some money on the house and replenish our savings." AND, we always worry that this will be the trip where we suddenly become bored with WDW and decide we aren't returning.

It never happens. No trip is ever long enough! We NEVER get to do all the things we planned, even with a 14 night stay.

Thank goodness they keep opening new attractions so I can continue to justify my obsession.

I think that I would live there if it were at all possible....however, I can only afford to go once per year. I make ressies for my next trip about a month after I return and then plan for the other eleven months....

It took a lot of years before I could financially justify a trip to WDW... between rai$ing kid$, divorcing, buying a hou$e I just put my savings towards other things.... it just wasn't at the top of the list. Then, in late 2004, I bought my 5th or 6th "Unofficial Guide" and decided to finally to USE it.

I bought airline tickets almost a year in advance to force myself to follow through with my plans. Then, in February 2005, I discovered the DISBOARDS! That was pretty much the end...

We went to WDW and had a fabulous time. I figured that would be our one and only visit as a family. We all loved it so much... I even stayed off the DISBOARDS for a while to ease my withdrawal symptoms.

In January I realized I had some airline vouchers to burn before the end of June... and PTO from work burning a hole in my pocket (never ever walk away from a Govt job with all the benefits!) so I opted to take a long memorial day weekend trip to play in the water parks, which we had wished we'd done more of last October. Again, had a fabulous time...

Then, just a MERE four days after returning from WDW, I decided that the short 4 day trip just WASN'T enough... and booked 9 nights with free dining! Naturally, I made sure we could get airline vouchers from DBF before I made the call... but there you have it... in all its naked splendor... my WDW addiction...

I should note that DD17 will be a senior this year, and this will be the final year of year-round school (and the awesome 3 week fall break) for both my kids... so I can rationalize this trip as the 'last year kids will both be on the same schedule' trip...

Anyone buying this? Anyone at all?

Also... I should note that immediately after making my reservation I called back and got an ADR for Le Cellier for our final evening...

You know you're a true addict when you have the toll-free CRO/dining number programmed into your cell phone...
