Wow! I agree a bit uncalled for. The 'reality' is that nobody's life is perfect but people can CHOOSE to find joy and still experience amazing things. She's living in Disney World, fulfilling one of her dreams what's wrong with her expressing how wonderful it is for her?

One of the things I love about Jess' reports is her unbridled enthusiasm. It makes me feel young-ish again and I get a kick out of the way she looks at things with her optimistic, upbeat attitude. Keep it up Jess!

I'm sorry but that was quite a backhanded compliment. There is nothing wrong with someone being enthusiastic or positive and Jess or anyone else who is gracious enough to share their vacations and lives with us are no exception. No two people will ever have the same experience and Jess is blessed to geniunely be enjoying hers. Honestly, she is living out most people's dreams but more importantly she is living out her dream. I may not be that old but I am old enough that I can look back at my early 20-something year old self and I saw the world through much more enthusiastic eyes than I do now. Disney brings out the child in me and most people and yes, most of the time, things are great and amazing and wonderful because I am at Disney and on vacation and there is absolutely, positively nothing wrong with that.

Jess, I hope you are feeling better. Being sick sucks but being sick away from home sucks even worse. Keep your chin up and I know I speak for many when I say we all look forward to continuing to follow you on your amazing journey!

So glad that you're getting out and about and really getting to experience Disney while you're living down there, looks like the past bit of the month was good!! Sucks that you're so sick, glad that you were able to sleep and have time off, I'm in the same shape right now, it's not fun. Hopefully you get better really soon!!

Exactly what were you expecting? In the introduction of this TR, Jess states that it has been her dream to do the DCP and that her dream came true. Over and over, she explains her great passion for Disney. She now lives there and works for the company. So it *IS* the best, it is amazing, and it's pretty close to perfect. When you set a goal for yourself and over a period of years take steps to make that goal happen, things you once could only imagine become a reality.

So reality HAS set in. This *is* Jess's reality, don't you get it?

You say "Just wait" like you're excited about a day in which she realizes life isn't paradise all the time, as if she doesn't know that already. Implying that she is unaware of hardship and has not had negative experiences is completely insulting. You don't know her and you don't know what things she has been through, so don't treat her like she doesn't live in reality. She does.

I know it blows that it isn't your reality. Trust me, I wish I was living in Disney World too. Deal with it how you will, but keep your negative comments out of this happy place.

A positive attitude is "a little off"? Hmmm perception is everything huh.

If you actually read this trip report you'd see that Jess has chosen to share even some of the more unfortunate/sad/frustrating things that happen (which she doesn't have to, she doesn't have to share anything that happens to her and she doesn't have to censor her positivity just because it'd make some people feel better).
Is it hard to believe that someone is having a great life where the good seems to outweigh the bad? Well tough.
And did she ever claim that getting sick was "the best" or "perfect"? Getting sick in Disney and having call into work sure sounds a lot like the "ickier" side of life to me. So are you hoping to see something worse or for Jess to let those things keep her down?
If that's what you mean by reality, well I hope and pray that it never "sets in". Life doesn't have to be negative - didn't Mickey teach you anything? Rotfl
