Also waiting patiently for another update, and hope you are having a great time! I follow on IG and from your pics it appears that you are still having the time of your life and really enjoying your new home. So nice to see Mark make an appearance again as well! I'm sure that I speak for many when I say that we have never met, but I feel like I know you and am glad you are living your dream! princess:princess:

Hello everyone! I just wanted to pop in and apologize for disappearing. As you have probably guessed, life has gotten crazy. I am still going through the transition period of switching schools and adjusting my life, so I haven't been able to give the trip report much attention.

I am going to post whatever updates I have done for now, and then I am hoping to eventually get this thing wrapped up within the next few weeks. (or months? I don't know yet.) I am not planning on as going in depth with the end of the report as it has been thus far, but I would like to share some highlights, memories, and pictures from the summer. So stay tuned! Thanks for sticking around and I hope everything is going well for all of you! :)

June 5th – 7th, 2013 - The Frumps Go Home and A Few Days of Work!

June 5th, 2013

This morning I woke up and packed up my stuff. We all got ready to go and I loaded up my car while the girls brought their bags to the resort airline check-in.

Bye, Cars section!

We went down to Landscape of Flavors around 11 and lunch still wasn't being served for 30 more minutes. So I went into the gift shop and got the cozy cone sweatshirt that I had been eyeing up throughout the trip, and I also got Mark and Josie some cookies with their favorite characters on them! They were the perfect way to use up my last snack credits.

9763686674_b0c9956bd8_z.jpg

At 11:30 am we went to get our food and use our last quick service meal. I got the chicken burger and it was yummy. I really only ate half of it though. And then for dessert I got a delicious AoA cupcake! Yum!

9763687875_2461c32a0b_z.jpg

The rest of the girls were SO full, especially Nat and Alicia. So we all took it slow until 12:45 pm when they had to get on the Magical Express. It started raining so it was just like full circle of when they arrived.

9763469982_864bbf0330_z.jpg

Once they left I went back to my apartment. I brought all of my stuff up and threw in a load of laundry. I unpacked a bit, put stuff in the dryer, and then slept for three hours. I was absolutely exhausted.

When I woke up, I got my clothes out of the dryer and then went to Publix with Sergio. I got some sushi, fruit, and milk to last me for the next two days.

Then I came back, packed up a ton of stuff to go home, and then had my sushi for dinner. Then I called my Mom for a while, and then I talked to Vickie and our friend Kevin from high school that I haven't talked to in like 2 or 3 years. They're great listeners.

After that, Lindsay came home and I went to the gym with her and her friend Alex. Going to the gym just feels really good.

Then I came back to the room and we all talked for about half an hour. However, then it was about time that I took a shower and went to bed. I had a very long work day coming up tomorrow.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

June 6th, 2013

I was scheduled for a 14.5 hour shift today, so I got right up and went to work at 8 am. I worked in the Convention Center in the morning and then they ended up closing us around 3 o'clock. Then I went to the lobby and worked there the rest of the night.

I was really upset and drained and my friends at work could tell, so Kelsey swapped with me and stayed until 10:30 and I went home at 7:30 pm. Thank God. I had a really good and rejuvenating phone call with Vickie, and then I ended up spending the rest of the night watching Full House in my bed. It was WONDERFUL and much needed.

June 7th, 2013

I didn't mind waking up this morning because I knew I was going home tomorrow!!! I had such a better attitude about life, a lot of hope, and I was ready to start my day.

I went into work and worked in the lobby. I found out the wonderful news that all of my days off for next week got approved, so I get to go home without any worries! YAYAYAY!!

There was this guest who walked by me and was like "THANKS FOR HOOKIN' US UP! YOU DID GREAT!!" I didn't remember the particular interaction, but apparently I helped him with his dining reservations and he was SO appreciative of it. It was so wonderful to hear that feedback from a guest! Then a little while later, my manager Tyler came up to me and handed me my fourth GSF card! It was such an exciting day!

I finished work at 7:30 pm and then went to Downtown Disney! It took me literally 20-25 minutes to find a parking spot. Once I finally found a spot, I went into Splitsville to meet up with my work friends! I was meeting Amanda, Kelsey, Grace, Toni, and Brian. However I couldn't find them for a solid 10 minutes and they weren't getting cell phone reception. Geez, what a night.

I FINALLY found them coming down the escalator. They just finished eating but I was working until now... so we all decided to go back up and get another table!

9764059796_3332ff4f35_z.jpg

I ordered a pepperoni pizza! Our waiter's name was Wadson and we LOVED him. He was so funny!

I was craving pizza and cake at work SO BAD today, so I had to get some. I had to. Today they had the Rocky Road cake and we all split it. It's literally one of the biggest pieces of cake I have ever seen. But it was AMAZING.

9764065154_836ca85e7c_z.jpg

After that we wandered through the House of Blues store and then I had to go! It was already 10 o'clock and I needed to go home and pack for a little bit.

I got all of my suitcases set, watched some Full House, and then fell asleep. I had to get up early tomorrow! I was so excited to go home!!

June 8th - June 16th, 2013 - MY REJUVENATING TRIP HOME!

June 8th, 2013

I WAS GOING HOME. Guys, you don't understand how bad I needed to go home. I obviously had a lot of fun during the past month, but I was going through some internal emotional torment between being heartbroken, extremely homesick, and ultimately I just felt overstimulated. I needed to unwind for a while and get a good old dose of home. IT WAS TIME AND I WAS SO EXCITED.

My flight was at 7:30 am so I had to get up at 4:30 am and get to the airport! I got an egg white and cheddar breakfast sandwich before my flight and it was DELICIOUS. Best airport food I have ever had, by far.

I took a southwest flight and literally fell asleep before the emergency exit spiel. Soon we were taking off and then all of the sudden I heard the pilot announce we were making our descent! YAYYYY!

I got out of the airplane and my Dad met me at baggage claim. We gave each other a HUGE hug. Oh my God I was SO happy to be home. I just can't even describe it. I haven't felt that happy in such a long time.

My Mom was in the car and she was SO excited to see me! Ahh oh my God. Thank JESUS I was home!!

We went home and had a yummy lunch! I had sushi, a turkey sandwich, and a Dannon strawberry yogurt! YUMM.

A few hours later I went to the mall with Alicia. We had a FABULOUS shopping day. Forever 21 had some amazing stuff. Everything was just so cute today! We also went to American Eagle, Hot Topic (to get Disney stuff of course), and Aerie! Ahh we were so happy. Yay for retail therapy!

When I got home, Mom made my first home cooked meal in so long! She made salmon and double baked potatoes. YUM.

9764399105_ed453237c8_z.jpg

After that I spent the remainder of my night resting, watching Full House, and writing trip report updates!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

June 9th, 2013

Today I spent the day at my Nana's house! She made us a lovely spaghetti lunch and blueberry pie for dessert! I ended up falling asleep on the couch for quite a bit until my Mom woke me up. We headed to church for 4:30 pm mass. Going to church felt REALLY good. I was so happy.

When we got back home, Dad made some hot dogs on the grill. We had a nice dinner, put away all of my clothes from Florida, and then spent the rest of the night relaxing!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

June 10th, 2013

On this day Josie and Mark came over! Josie lives about an hour and a half away and Mark lives about an hour away, so my house was a great meeting place right in the middle. We were SO EXCITED to be reunited. We spent most of our time just hanging out at my house, talking about life, telling Josie all about our College Programs, and just being happy to be back together!

Mom made us some mac and cheese from our mac and cheese cookbook!

9764362474_6128c6fa58_z.jpg

Also, we had a fruit salad. Because what is a meal at my house without a fruit salad?

9764147842_3c2a8ed7d8_z.jpg

Lastly, we went out for ice cream!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

June 11th, 2013

On this day we wanted to go to the beach, but it was so rainy and gross out. So we went to the mall instead! We went to PF Changs for lunch and then got pedicures at the nail salon! Then we went over to Marks house and ended up falling asleep for an hour.

At 6 oclock we went to Panera Bread with one of our professors from the theatre department, Amanda. Shes like a Mother to all of us and I absolutely love her. Shes also like a therapist, which was perfect because of all of my confusion and discrepancies. We ended up spending three hours talking to her. She really is a saint!

We drove back to my house and then stayed up really late talking. Around 2 or 3 in the morning the shelf in my closet holding board games and memory boxes full of old stuff just CRASHED and everything fell down. It scared us all half to death!! But looking back on it now, it was pretty hilarious. The not-so-funny part is having to clean it up. I just love this picture because of Mark and my reactions that you can see in the mirror. :rotfl:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

June 12th, 2013

Mark went home this morning and then Josie, my Mom, and I went to go sign the lease for our apartment in the fall!

9764354005_9ecbf20dc7_z.jpg

....However, now that it's after the fact, we all know that I did end up staying in Florida. So the apartment ended up falling through for Josie and I. However, never fear! Mark took my spot so the whole thing worked out!

Josie had to go home after that so we said our see you laters. When I got home, Jonathan and I went to the gym. Then we went downtown to meet up with my Dad for dinner! He had a business trip in Iowa that he had to go to from Monday-Wednesday so thankfully he was finally home! It was so great to be all reunited!

On the way home, Mom and I stopped at Walmart and grabbed some spray paint for my desk that Im going to put in my apartment!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

June 13th, 2013

This morning Mom, Dad, and I went to go get my old desk so we could spray paint it for my apartment! (Another after the fact plug - I did put this desk in my new apartment in Florida!) Mom and I painted it and its a very pretty periwinkle color now instead of white!

9764349736_909ef9e4bd_z.jpg

In the afternoon, I FINALLY got some closure with Preston. We had been communicating via text almost daily since we had broken up and it was tearing me apart. So at this point we finally established that it was time to move on. It's sad, of course, but we were doing each other a huge favor.

Vickie came over right after work and we all got ready to go to Rhe Book of Mormon! YAY! Mom, Vickie, and I went and Mark met us there! We had PHENOMENAL seats and the show was unbelievable. Oh my God. Its very racy but in the context of the show its funny and very clever. Plus the music is so enjoyable! I absolutely loved everything about it. Every performer was so talented and it just overall gave me a happiness that I really needed at that moment.

9764138011_37cd05aa43_z.jpg

9764137721_f0cf52a62a_z.jpg

After the show, the four of us went out to get dessert! YUM. Mark and Vickie and my Mom are truly three of the most important people in my life, and I was so happy I got to spend that night with them.

Mark went home after that. I wouldnt see him until August and that was heartbreaking. But Vickie came over and we had a sleepover which was lots of fun!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

June 14th, 2013

I spent this morning with Vickie and her boyfriend Dan came over for a bit. We all chatted and had some breakfast. When my Mom came home, we all drove to my Nanas. My aunt is helping organize a charity run/walk so Dan was interested in doing it, so he got some flyers.

After that, I said goodbye to the two of them, and then Mom, Jonathan, and I drove all over town to hang up flyers for my aunt. Then we went home, I took a shower, and my Aunt Paolina (whos actually my Moms best friend from high school) and her daughter Kaleigh were over. Kaleigh just graduated from college so we chatted about life, college, boys, and everything. And even when the world feels like its ending, the fact of the matter is that Im only 20. I have a lot of life left to live!

Once they left, Mom, Jon, and I went out to dinner and I got spaghetti and meatballs. After we got home, we finished painting my desk. Then I spent the rest of the night just relaxing and watching Full House until I fell asleep!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

June 15th, 2013

Alicia came over that afternoon right after work! We decided to go out to dinner, stop at Wegman's, stop at the mall, and get frozen yogurt. We got to have a good little hang out session before I headed back to Disney.

We went back to my house and had a Full House marathon until we fell asleep!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

June 16th, 2013

This morning was Father's Day! My family all went to church and had a pretty relaxing day at home. I worked on my Creativity and Innovation journal and started packing to go back to Florida. My journal consisted of me filling the pages with a lot of inspirational sayings and images.

Anyways... my parents made steak tips for dinner and they were DELICIOUS. That's definitely one of my favorite meals! My Nana came over and joined us for dinner before she was headed to the casino with her friends. What a cutie!

After dinner, my Dad just wanted to play some games for Father's Day. So we played Yahtzee and Jonathan won. Then we went to go get ice cream! YUMMY! I got chocolate cherry!

9764345675_7dc75c6a3c_z.jpg

Then we came back and I got Dad's Father's Day present all situated. We got him one of the anti-gravity chairs which he loved! I also wrote him a beautiful card and he was so happy. I really couldn't ask for a better Dad. He gives the best advice and he really cares about his family so much. He's my hero!

9764139792_ccbd76c471_z.jpg

After that, I watched Full House for the rest of the night!

I posted on twitter:

June 17th, 2013 - Back to the Disney World!

I woke up this morning and packed up to go back to Disney. It was bittersweet. However, this trip definitely helped cure a majority of the homesickness and I was ready to take on the last 53 days of my program!!

Pep was sad to see me go.

9764138382_0cc409268b_z.jpg

After packing up, Mom and I went to Panera to get lunch. Then she dropped me off at the airport and I was on my way!

9764423063_c81daaa3d7_z.jpg

My flight was at 3:50 pm. I slept, did a little homework, watched Full House, and then I was landing in Florida!

I got my suitcase and headed out to the parking garage. The humidity hit me like a WALL.

I drove back to Patterson and then picked up my friend Brian! We were going to go to Epcot to grab food but then decided to go to the Boardwalk instead. He used to work at Boardwalk and had never eaten there, so we decided to try Kouzinna by Cat Cora! I had never been there either so it was another one I definitely wanted to knock off the list!

The atmosphere in there was very relaxed and modern. Cat Cora must be a pretty cool person.

They started us off with bread and different olive oils. YUM. The one olive oil on the end was definitely my favorite.

9764430323_72a8a9cb77_z.jpg

Then Brian ordered calamari for his appetizer and he let me have some of it. It was SO GOOD. It was the perfect combination of crispy and flavorful and YUMMY.

9764429163_08fcaf0980_z.jpg

For dinner I got the short ribs, which tasted REALLY amazing. The meat itself had wonderful flavor, it melted in your mouth, and it was a perfect short ribs texture.

9764428753_d668a02fe5_z.jpg

Brian got the steak which looked really good!

9764350525_68e84bc41b_z.jpg

We went back home after that and I pretty much just unpacked and went to bed. Time to get back into the Disney routine!

June 18th, 2013 (Part 1) - WELCOME, STARBUCKS!

This morning I got up for my Creativity and Innovation class that started at 9 am! I missed the past two weeks because of the frump trip and going home, so it was time to get back into the swing of things!

We took some notes, did some activities, prepped for our exam, and then before I knew it, it was 1 o'clock and time to go!

I drove to pick up my friend Keirsten! She went to school with me back at home and just graduated from our theatre department! She just got hired for entertainment down here in Disney and she has traditions this weekend, so we figured we would catch up before her schedule started getting jam-packed!

We drove to a little frozen yogurt place over by her apartment and it was REALLY good. I got cake batter frozen yogurt with strawberries, raspberries, kiwi, and vanilla wafer cookies. It was PERFECT.

We just caught up on everything! We talked about our department, about life, about Disney, etc. It was so good to see her and just having someone down here from home is really comforting.

We stayed for quite a while and then I took Keirsten back and dropped her off at her apartment.

After our little hang out, I went to Publix and did some grocery shopping so I could stock up for the next week! Then I went back to my apartment, unloaded all of my groceries, and watched the DIS Unplugged podcast for the month of May! Pete said some REALLY incredible things about this thread they really touched my heart. I just can't believe how much recognition has come out of writing this trip report and I owe it all to you guys! Thank you for reading and giving me the inspiration to keep writing, even during the busiest and toughest times! Thanks for always making me smile with your sweet comments! And thank you for believing in me even when I don't believe in myself. You all have helped me more than you'll ever know.

Once I got everything put away, Lindsay woke up from her nap. I figured she wasn't working today since she was sleeping smack dab in the middle of the day, so once she woke up I asked her if she had any plans for the night! When she said no we decided that IT WAS TIME TO PLAY! OFF TO THE MAGIC KINGDOM!!

We got ready, drove over, and parked in the Scar parking lot. As we were taking the tram, it started to sprinkle. Then by the time we got to the monorail it was a steady rain. Then by the time we got to the Magic Kingdom itself it was a DOWN POUR. Oh my gosh, it was way too funny. We were just like... THE ONE TIME WE ACTUALLY GO TO MAGIC KINGDOM TOGETHER OF COURSE IT RAINS. However we took it as a lesson - we needed to learn how to dance in the rain! So that's what we did!

9836283486_c1f2b59679_z.jpg

I posted on twitter:
Why can't I just learn to ALWAYS bring my rain jacket and umbrella?

We went on Main Street and down through the shops. I got a plastic bag to hold my camera/phone/autograph book so they wouldn't get wet, and then we made it to Casey's Corner. We stood outside and contemplated on what we wanted for dinner, but we decided that Casey's was the most convenient and the best option for right now.

While we were deciding, I felt this weird, hard thing on my back. My dress was new so I figured that it was just a tag. So I grabbed it and looked at it and it was A HUGE BUG. Oh my God. I like... threw it on the ground. It was so gross. I practically had a mini-heart attack. Oh MY God.

Anyway, we were both really hungry so it was time to get food. I got my regular hot dog and fries meal, which was ready really fast!

9836356553_63191c1ee8_z.jpg

Lindsay got corn dog nuggets and french fries! Hers took quite a while to come out and I basically ate half of my fries before we even sat down. While we were waiting, this woman in front of us saw Linday's half empty apple juice and started complaining to the cast member that they gave her an already-opened juice! So the cast member told her to throw it away and they'd get her a new one... and Lindsay didn't even realize it was hers until the apple juice was gone. Bahaha so she had to get a new apple juice too. It was such a frumpy mess.

Once we got all of our food, we went over to the Tomorrowland Terrace seating area and ate over there. The restaurant itself was actually open today, which was pretty surprising!

After we finished eating, we decided to go to Tomorrowland! I had a very strange crazy idea - I wanted to go on Stitch's Great Escape.

9836233854_0923105c75_z.jpg

I wanted to go on every attraction before my program ended... so there I was signing up to help the galactic federation.

9836377375_ed6953c6dc_z.jpg

I was trying to be REALLY into it. Lindsay and I were all hyped up. It was great. ALRIGHT GUYS, LETS MOVE WE HAVE A MISSION TO COMPLETE HERE.

After that, we decided to go over to Laugh Floor! Lindsay LOVES that attraction and usually I skip it because I have seen it so many times... but for some reason I was totally up for it today! Plus they added a MU portion to the intro video as well as during the first set of monsters in the show! It was FUNNY. I liked it a lot! I seriously cannot wait to see this movie!!!!!

I do remember that this was probably in my top five funniest Laugh Floors of all time, but I didnt write down any details. All I know is that I REALLY enjoyed it!

Once we laughed our heads off at the laugh floor, we decided that we had digested enough to go to STARBUCKS! Today was opening day for the new Main Street Bakery/Starbucks so it was necessary that we needed to make a stop!

At least it's in a cute little cup.

Lindsay and I decided to split the chocolate peanut butter cupcake and it was yummy! The frosting was the best part. YUM.

9836366655_0d49602a94_z.jpg

While we were sitting there enjoying our dessert, there was this cute little baby duck that got left behind from his family. So we (and the surrounding tables) were the duckling's personal cheering section. He would try and jump up on the ledge but then he wouldn't quite make it, so he'd fall down. Then he'd run down the ramp and try again, and he'd fall down. Then at one point he just sat there for a moment and thought about it. Then FINALLY after his 5th or 6th attempt, he made it over the ledge and we all clapped for him. YAYYY BABY DUCK!!

After that, we started to wander. We wanted to get to Fantasyland but we had to take the long way because the walkway through the castle was blocked. However, everything happens for a reason because I went on a photographer's holiday.

I feel like I was just spinning in circles taking pictures of everything over and over again. The sky kept changing the scene completely!

The sunset really brought out the blue color in the roof of this building.

Then when the sun physically set I could FEEL it. Lindsay could too. All of the sudden there was just this weight that feel like night was upon us. It was SO COOL.

We walked all the way to the Tangled tower and realized that we passed our intended destination - we wanted to go to Castle Couture to get PIXIE DUSTED!!! We are such princesses. Backtracking time!

June 18th, 2013 (Part 4) - Magic Kingdom Festivities!

9836269305_ddb7ea7df1_z.jpg

Once we did that we decided to go on PhilharMagic! Lindsay and I LOVE this and we had way too much fun going on it together and singing along to every single portion. We tried to take some frumpy pictures of ourselves in our oprey-glasses but we looked terrible! And I was like "THAT'S WHY MINNIE TELLS US NOT TO PUT ON OUR OPERA GLASSES UNTIL WE GET INTO THE THEATER BECAUSE WE ACTUALLY LOOK SCARY." It's true guys, don't let her fool you.

We sang, channeled our inner Disney character, belted our hearts out to "Part of Your World" and melted when Aladdin came on screen. It was rejuvenating, it was refreshing, and I swear to God, PhilharMagic has magical powers. IT'S THE BEST!!

9836255795_4681a16467_z.jpg

After that we waited by the carousel and Lindsay's friend Alex met up with us! She had just got out of work and she was ready to play with us!

The first thing we did was head to Adventureland! We met the Fairies because I hadn't met them since.... two Augusts ago? It had been a while. Plus Vidia was out so we needed to go say hi! Vidia was SUPER sassy. She was talking about how Tinkerbell wanted to give them swim lessons but she didn't WANT swim lessons because if she gets her wings wet, she wouldn't have been able to be a fast flying fairy anymore. She was a little gossip queen.

Then we met Tinkerbell and she was super cute! She was really pixie dusty!

9836219444_a4cb30e8a2_z.jpg

Then we went on the Jungle Cruise and had a HILARIOUS skipper. He presented the jokes really well and we were cracking up. When he got to the plant joke, he started to point out his favorite plants and then this kid was like "LOOK THERE'S A RABBIT!!!!!!!" And the family just kept going on and on about the rabbit. I think the skipper was trying to keep himself from busting out laughing, and when we got to the Trader Sam part he started to be like "....And this is... AH forget it. THERE'S A RABBIT." Then when we pulled up to the dock, he told one of his coordinators "THERE'S A RABBIT!" And she was like "WHAAT! WHAT'S RABID?!!?" HAHAHA I seriously love the Jungle Cruise more than anything.

After that I needed to get a Dole Whip because of obvious reasons. It tasted AMAZING. Then we went up to the Swiss Family Treehouse and watched Wishes from up there! The view was more blocked by trees than we thought it would be, but it was so cool being up there when the fireworks were going off!

9836251975_981e3f5db3_z.jpg

After that we went on Splash Mountain! We had time for our last ride and that was the chosen one, as per usual. All three of us squeezed into one row and it was pretty darn fun! Alex had been carrying around her stuffed Beast doll all day long and we were taking care of him on Splash Mountain. She was like "well sometimes he's my boyfriend and sometimes he's my baby." LOL. There was no hope for him on the big drop though - he got SOAKED! As did all of us.

9836241675_97e939ae3d_z.jpg

Then we saw some of Linday's Frontierland Merch friends and did a bit of pin trading. Then we took the monorail and the tram back to the parking lot and drove back home. We had an OBNOXIOUS acapella Disney sing-along the whole ride home and it was pretty hilarious! Ahh we had so much FUN!

Once we got back, the girls were listening to S Club 7 and A*Teens aka MY JAMS so I had a little dance party for about 10 minutes and then I had to go to bed. I had work in the morning!

Haha aw, don't get your hopes up too high. Unfortunately the prince has left the castle. But it's all okay. No worries.

Loved your new updates, Jess!! The Fantasyland pictures are beautiful! The walls have to be one of my favorite parts of New Fantasyland!

Can't wait to read the rest, whatever that may be! :)

Congrats on 1 million views! The report has been great so far. Can't wait for the next posts. If you get a chance, do you think you could post a day in the life of a concierge? I'm sure all of us would find that incredibly interesting, even if it doesn't sound as glamorous or exciting as the parks.

Yeaaaaaa, Jess is back!!

I've been thinking about you and checking instagram to see if you are alive and well!

Sorry to hear about the prince no longer in the castle. Not to worry, baby girl, "Some day your prince will come." And you'll really know it when it happens. ::yes:: :thumbsup2 This is what I keep telling my daughter. :goodvibes

Thank you so much for the updates, I really enjoyed them. :dance3:

Just saw that there are multiple updates and it MADE MY DAY!!!!! :yay:

Unfortunately, I have to go to work so they'll have to wait until later, but it gives me something to look forward to after 13 hours of work today! ;)
