There is a whole forum called the The College Board which has many CP questions/answers.

yes, definitely go to the webiste online, it explains EVERYTHING. Room & Board is taken out of your paycheck weekly. The amount depends on how many people you room with.

You dont have to buy uniforms, you... rent them. (for lack of a better word) You use your CM (cast member) ID to check them out & you can keep them & wash them yourself (always a good idea for some sizes) or you can turn them back in & check out a new costume (uniform).

There is a bus system that runs from the apartments to the theme parks and water parks and all, even the mall and walmart. HOWEVER, I definitely suggest bringing your own car, makes life easier. & you do not have to pay to park. (& if you work at MK, there is a backway to get into the CM parking lot, which is GREAT.)

No free meals. Excepting maybe some pizza parties and grocery bingo stuff... if they even still do those. idk.

Yeah, you get a paycheck. I forget whether it was every week or every other. Im thinking every week. idk though. I also dont know how much you get paid. I did the WDWCP back in 2005. I know you do want to go down with some money in your bank account, bc theres SOO much stuff to do (and buy) there! (esp. Property Control! ha)

& yes - definitely worth it! Disney looks great on a resume. You will learn a lot & have some great experiences that you otherwise would not have. Warning though: its addicting. I miss it like CRAZY & Im currently debating on whether to do it again or not. lol

oh & some schools offer credit for doing the program. There IS Disney University, where you can take classes while you are down there. You'd have to check with schools around you to see if they accept the credit or whatever.

But definitely worth it. I do not regret doing it at all & I wish I could do it again! :)

(btw - there IS a difference between the College Program & the Professional Internships. Some of the internships require that you have done the WDWCP in the past.)

this is all about the college program in FL, I do not know much about the one in CA.

The CP is a paying internship at WDW (and there is also on in DL). You work 35+ hours a week, and can get into the parks for free. You stay in one of 2 complexes- Chatham and Vista. Rent is taken out of the paycheck. There are buses that you can use to get to work/the parks. There are costuming areas, and you can take out up to 5 costumes at a time. Then you can return them when they get dirty. Pay varies by role, but it starts at $6.79. You can find a lot more info at www.wdwcollegeprogram.com, and at the College board here on DIS.
