Well, I was very excited about being able to purchase Season's Passes on my own for the very first time... :Pinkbounc Until I got some troubling news from a CM tonight.... When we visited EPCOT on Monday with a 1d/1p ticket that we bought on Saturday from DTD I spoke with a rep in Guest Services about upgrading to a Season's Pass because I would get credit for the 50 $ I already had spent... well... she told me I could, and that I had to do it within 7 days of my use of the ticket ... which would be Sunday the 16th... well, I called to make a hotel ressie tonight because we would be going Sunday/Monday to upgrade and tour the parks again... just to be safe I reiterated the fact that I would be upgrading and make sure to clarify the price, well the CM first told me they didn't do that on the phone, which I said was ok, then she said she had no idea WHAT I was talking about and had no clue where to find out for me... :earseek: so now I am a little irritated but I asked who I could call and she transd me to Disney Operator ... well I asked this girl and she told me "we do not talk prices on the phone" and "its 7 days from date of purchase"... I told her what the lady in EPCOT told me and she said "oh, I don't know... sorry" and when I asked if SP holders get discounted rooms, etc she said "no nothing, maybe a magazine, but no nothing ... sorry and can't help not what I do" (or something similar). This nonsense went on for 3-4 minutes before I told her to forget it and tried to get someone else...
Im so upset, I work tomorrow so I can't go upgrade, I will call a manager in Guest Relations tomorrow, but I don't know what they can do... I will explain what I was told and how I was explained I had until 16th, not 14th ... wish me luck guys, any ideas on what I should say, should I mention my terrible CM's attitude or just state what I was told, two different things about upgrading (Which BTW, I would have on Monday had someone told me the correct info that it had to be done by Friday).

Gosh-- I'm sorry to hear you had a hard time on the telephone. The Disney Reservation Center operators are not based at the park and as a result never really deal with upgrading tickets. I know how frustrating it can be to try and find out specific information about ticket upgrading or other ticket issues from the reservation center. Guest Relations is the place you need to go-- they are the only people who do ticket upgrades and therefore know the most about them.

As for your specific situation, you should not have a problem. Regardless of Disney policy, simply go to Guest Relations and explain your situation. If you are not permitted to upgrade (which I highly doubt) I wouldn't argue with the Cast Member. I would just ask to speak with a manager. I am 100% confident that they will be able to accomodate your upgrade.

Try not to worry. :) And let us know how it goes.

I'm going to try to call and speak with them tomorrow before I travel to Orlando...make sure everything is in order before we leave. I could have totally understood there point if per say I had bought the ticket in 2000 and used it now and expected a full price credit, but it was bought 2 days prior to my using it and like I said I was told 7 days from use, not purchase... I was just so fustrated with the CM's "I don't care" attitude, there was so much "more" she said that I did not mention, it was so fustrating.
I was so looking forward to my fiance' and myself's first trip to Disney World together, I'd love to share the experience with him. BTW, he's only been once to EPCOT/MK way way way back when EPCOT first opened so it's going to be a real blast... :
One more quick question, anyone here know the discounts on food/merch for sp passholders, disney.com is very vauge....
Thanks again for all the help... heres to hoping things work out with the passes... oh man I'm excited already!! :earsgirl: :earsboy:
