This question came up on another board, and I thought I'd get people's opinions here.

When you go to WDW, do you wear all your great Disney gear, or do you save it for your "regular" life?

Personally, I wear it at the parks, and keep it safe the rest of the time. I like to break out all my stuff from years past when I'm at the parks. It's neat how some of the CMs recognize prints from previous years, like "oh, you were here in '98" and stuff like that.

I wear Disney stuff any time. I know Stacy and Clinton are totally against grown women wearing shirts with Disney characters on them but I won't give them up, its a part of who I am LOL! But, I have worked to find nice fitted Disney stuff instead of just wearing giant oversized tees and such. I usually take only Disney tops to WDW.

Same here. I try and buy really nice tops at WDW so I can wear them year round. I love Disney and don't care who knows it. But I don't want to wear a potato sack looking shirt. But it's a rare week that goes by that I don't sport a Disney shirt at least once. And as for Stacy and Clinton, if I had their clothing budget I would probably dress as nicely as they do, but for now I'll stick to my Old Navy, J Crew and Disney t's!

As I type this I am sitting here wearing a black Tink t-shirt. It is too big and I haven't worn it for a while, but I made some adjustments and I am wearing it today with "tink green" capris! I love wearing nice Disney clothes, but like others have mentioned, I try to wear nice shirts and jerseys, not just oversized t-shirts. Last week on my birthday I was totally "Mickey'ed out"! I wore a new hot pink Mickey t-shirt (from the local DS), pale pink capris, and a pair of Mickey Mouse slip on sneakers I found BRAND NEW at the local goodwill (they have the "official Disney Theme Park Merchandise" tag inside!). I also wore my Mickey head crystal necklace, my Mickey head tiffany-style charm bracelelet and my Disney themed italian charm bracelet. It made me feel extra special on my birthday!

I also own a Princess denim jacket that I wear a few days a week. It is too big since I have lost weight, but I still love it.

So the answer to your question is.... I wear Disney both at home and in the parks!........................P

Oh, don't get me wrong. I don't hide my love of Disney. But, I'm a guy, and thus I tend to be messy, and I like to keep my Disney gear in good condition.

If I'm not having a good day, I bust out the Mickey. I hate to spend money on clothes just to keep it in a drawer!

Another male with lots of Disney clothes checking in. I wear the stuff all the time. If for some reason I need to not be wearing Disney stuff(rarely), I have to make a point of finding things that bear no Mouse. :earsboy:

My husband wears Disney stuff too but I think unlike you, he doesn't have anything irreplacable.

I understand. I have an Epcot shirt from the year the park opened and an Epcot tank from the same era. I only wear them to Epcot and no other time.

I've heard people say you shouldn't wear Disney stuff at Disney, because you're there. You don't need to remind yourself. I disagree.

Also, I don't keep all my stuff in a drawer, but I do have a lot of stuff that holds special meaning to me, so I don't want to wear it out and make it threadbare to soon.

I live in shorts and Disney t-shirts. In fact, I have very little clothing that doesn't have a Disney character or logo on it.

I wear Disney stuff all of the time.

For me, it is hard to decide what to wear to where! Sometimes we get to attend Disney functions at the Academy Theatre. You want to obviously dress nice, but you gotta let your Disney show! I have a lot of fine Disney jewelry that I wear to these events.

I think guys have it better. My husband can wear some Tommy Bahama dress pants and one of our Pixar "John Lasseter" aloha shirts. SO far, we have Monsters, Inc., Wall-E, and UP. Plus I have a lot of SHAG Disneyland aloha shirts too. It's not like I can look very feminine wearing them. Just look at my signature pic and see why.

But, I do try to wear the COOLEST and the most exclusive Disneyland stuff I own when we go to WDW. And I try to wear my WDW stuff when we go to DL.

But, I have noticed that in WDW, people tend to wear shirts of where they are FROM, now where they are. It is interesting that at DL, people tend to wear fashionable clothing or they wear Mickey stuff.

I wear Disney stuff often, but I have my collection of "good" Disney shirts that I save for our trips. Especially stuff from our Disney cruises. It's good to know I'm not the only one who does this :)

I was going through my drawers and realized that most of my t-shirts are from somewhere. Not necessarily WDW, but other destinations, too. Today I'm wearing Canobie Lake Park. I have several shirts from camp and youth events (I'm an adult but I volunteer with the youth). I think I have enough camp/youth shirts to go a full week at camp wearing one each day with some to spare! Many of those I keep packed away until I'm at a youth event. Neon green is NOT a good color on me, so I will only wear that shirt when I'm at camp. :)

Edited: in past years instead of getting shirts, I've gotten charms for my Italian charm bracelet. I wear that and my Mickey earrings pretty often. Oh, and my Mickey watch gets worn every day. :)

YES, I wear Disney clothing OFTEN esp sweatshirts. I have 4. Wear them proudly. I also have allot of Disney jewelry and wear that as often as I can.

Its funny as I am 20 minutes to Disneyland and I really do not see allot of adults (mostly just kiddos) wearing allot of DL apparel OUTSIDE of the Parks. Everyone wears all the "beach" apparel around where I live.

Who is Stacy & Clinton?

Ohhh, ok, thanks! ITA w/you on wearing your DISNEY clothing!!! :mickeyjum

So what sorts of stuff do you have? I mean stuff that stands out and is special to you.

I have a tie-dye Mickey that I picked up at DL WAY back in '84. I've managed to keep it in good shape, and it always comes w/ to WDW.

Every trip I also try to get something with the year on it. Some years are more difficult than others to find.

Thank you, Karen! I thought I was the only one who didn't know who they are. And, why should I care what they think about what I wear? :confused3

They're fashion experts and they are really great! They had done an AMAZING job making over some really horribly fashion challenged people. I'm talkin about women stuck in the 80's and people who wear stuff that is completely the wrong size and shape for their bodies. I really do love them and agree with them 99% of the time because they do a great job of instilling a self-confidence in people who had none left. People who just gave up caring what they look like and now are more outgoing and brave etc than they ever thought they could be. However, they don't believe in adults wearing clothes with cartoon charachters on them. That I don't agree with. We all have to keep our inner child alive :goodvibes
