I was on the DVC website looking at direct purchases and it seems Disney's closing costs are almost as high as a resale contract. Has it been increasing with price per point?

A few years ago DVD didn't charge closing costs, now they have turned it into a profit center. Think about it, all of the money for 15 minutes of work.

:earsboy: Bill

Curious where you saw that. I just looked at add on and was quoted less than 200.00.

The recording fee is $10, even $200 is over kill. Just another way DVD is sticking it to ya'.

75 points. I think it was like 177 or in that area.
Better than 4-500 no matter how many points you buy resale.

Small purchases are hard to find to match use year and number of points you want.

Savings isn't enough to fight and wait over.

I just bought 50 points at Hilton Head. It was about 40.00. Resale they are about 900.00.

So, you paid $7,040 for 50 points rather than pay $60 x 50 +$900 closing or $$3,900. Nice!! You really did show them

No, I paid 5750 + 40. I paid the extra to get the benefits. I wanted the member discounts on annual passes and discounts on Hilton Head rooms that I currently pay full cash price for. It should save me 500 plus a stay and I go several times a year. The original question was about closing cost price at Disney and not trying to show them. I already had 1 contract taken. When I am ready to make a purchase for more points, it will be resale. People overpay all the time even in resale. It is what works best for the purchaser.

You must have purchased back in 2008-9 to get $115 a point. Great buy compared to todays costs.

Odd, cause CCV add on is more than $40 for CC for 50 points. I have been talking to guide about adding there... small contract. And I bought BWV direct a couple years ago and paid about $100 for 55 points.

Thanks for the price info. I haven't looked at direct prices since they went above $100, and found how much less it is to buy resale.
