I am in the midst of creating an advent calendar that can be used for both Christmas and/or a Disney trip. I will repost when it is finished with instructions and a photo of the completed project. The big question is what to put in it. The pockets are fairly large and so far I have chocalate coins, a mini book, a couple of ornaments, a small snowglobe, stickers and a oversized sucker. Any other ideas for either the Disney or the Christmas version would be greatly appreciated!

at the Disney store. Those bean things.........but they are bigger than the usual Beanz, and look like disney characters.....they remind me of weeble wobbles from the 70s. Pencil toppers and shaped erasers would be good, a sheet of "build-it" stickers.........they have build a gingerbread man, build a Christmas tree, build a treehouse, build a race car..........you get a big sticker of the theme, and then smaller ones to use as decorations or accessories. Small flocked animals are always fun...........mini slinkys, silly putty, small play-doh cans (party size), kazoos are fun.............yo-yos..............I could go on for days.......I teach 2nd grade and spend half my life picking up small stuff to "catch 'em being good"!

Hope that helps!

I would put in gift certificates on paper---good for 1 hour of board game of your choice with mom and dad; Movie nite---let them pick out a video to watch together; Christmas light nite--drive around to see the lights and bring hot cocoa in a thermos; dinner out nite---at a restaurant of their choice.

I love your idea, BTW :)
