Disney Chrismas Party

Hello!

As a new member I would like to thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

As a family we are going on our first trip to WDW on 9th December 2004 and have heard about Mickey's Xmas Party, (the one you have to book seperately), but have found no contact details or how you go about booking it.

Any numbers or advice would be gratefully received.

Hi there

We went to Mickey Very Merry Christmas Party a few years ago, it was brilliant, there was snow coming down on Main Street USA, free cookies and hot chocolate, characters dressed up in Christmas outfits, they take a photo of your party and send to your home address, a wonderful Christmas parade and of course the rides remain open. It is a very popular event and it is on the Disney World web site here

I hope the link works, I'm not very good at these kind of things.

Do either of you know, how to book the dinner packages that I have seen mentioned on here?

Apparantely, this means you can get better views. My little boy is only 6 and I really want to make a big thing of this part of the trip, so am trying to organise like a military operation!!!

Any other advise welcomed.

Do you mean the dinner package at Liberty Tree Tavern which you can book at the same time as booking your MVMCP tickets? (That's the Christmas Party tickets?)

Or do you mean the dinner which goes with the Candlelight Processional which is at Epcot? If you want to book that have a look at this for info on where you can eat and what it costs etc (also there are links to the restaurants so you can see what takes your fancy). The number to call to book is 407 WDW DINE or in other words from the UK dial 001 407 939 3463

YAY!! Another member of Dec 9th Club!! Its gonna be a DIS takeover if you are also on the 11:15 Virgin out of Gatwick!!

Just to clarify, booking the Very Merry Christmas Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern wont get you a better view of the "goings on" at the party. Its just another extra to make the night a bit special! If you still want to book you can phone the usual WDW - DINE number on 001- 407- 939- 3463 anytime after 12 noon UK time.

To book tickets to the actual party then you can either phone or book on line at www.disney.com . Go to entertainment / tickets.

If you phone, you have the option of collecting your tickets at the park at saving the delivery costs.

Hi everyone

Thanks for all your help.

I fly on the 9th December from Manchester with Travelcitydirect, staying at the Regal Palms Resort at High Reserve.

I am going to have a board meeting with the missus, and my little boy, and look to book the party on the 14th, as this seems to be a less busy day at WDW. I am also going to book the Liberty Tree Dinner.

p.s Does Disney have any money tree's that I have seen on the Barclays bank advert at the moment!!??

p.p.s What a fountain of knowledge this board is. Any other advice to make this a fantastic trip would be welcomed.

Hi Michael.

We will be staying very close to you. We have a Villa on Highlands Reserve again this year. You will love this complex, very quiet, lush surroundings and handy for the parks.

You will need to know about the "back door" into Disney, as from Highlands Reserve you will use this most days! Its very simple, just proceed back to the 192 as normal. When you pass the big Orange Lakes resort on your left, the next signal is for "Black Lake Rd". Turn left and follow this to its conclusion where it joins Sherberth Rd (you will see a Macdonalds on your right, and the Holiday Inn Maingate on your left. Turn left into Sherberth rd and in 2 minutes you will be on WDW property! Just turn left at the crossroads and you will be on the Osceola Parkway with access to all the parks. If you are going to Animal Kingdom, then you need to make an almost immediate left turn and you will be on the entrance plaza.

We have also booked the Christmas Party for the 14th (as has Karen..Miffy2003) so hope to see you there!!

Just to add I tried this, couldn't book tickets, only multi-park ones, until I read on another thread on this board (don't know how to add in link), that you need to pretend you live in the US to get the option of MVMCP tickets. You can then choose International Shipping in the address bit, and give your correct UK address. I've just ordered mine (for the 9th, though we'll go again on the 14th if we like it!) , can't wait til they come....

Unless you want to go on a Friday Id wait ubtil you get there,we booked ours there and the only days sold out were Fridays we went on Wedsnesday I think and it was great no quese Peter Pan was a walk on!
It was the highlight of the holiday no doubt,SNOW!!!!

My MVMCP tickets came today by special courier!!!!! I was out so my neighbour took them, and I was so excited when she handed me a big envelope from the States.

The tickets are so cool they've really put us even more in the mood. Excitement is reaching fever pitch here all ready and we've got nearly 3 months to go......
