Pardon me my UK friends, wondering if an e-mail or petition or something of some sort would be in order for people in the UK and Canada to have access to a co-branded Visa or other companie's charge/credit card?

Thanks in advance
Jason

Absolutely a great idea - are you thinking of setting up a petition or did you want us all to send emails to Disney?

I'm not a great believer in myself getting another credit card - but as it will give discounts similar to those we got with DisneyClub then woo-hoo!

I also feel a great unjust that because I do not live in the UK I cannot participate in this scheme :-(

Can I ask has anyone here questioned Disney on this and got a response - Can someone let me have an email address to send my complaint to?

Thanks

Hi Jason

Glad you found your way to us Brits ok ;)

As you know, I think this is a great idea. If we can find an email address for Disney Visa and perhaps the DC too (a two pronged campaign), then I think if they received a number of emails in succession, they may atleast consider a way they can do something for their overseas market (And the British and Canadian market are both strong ones for Disney).

I think it just stinks! that they are taking away the DC and are offering NO alternative for us. Even if you don't personally want a Credit Card, it would be nice to be able to make that choice for ourselves!

I want my Mickey Visa (And I was gutted I couldn't get a 'From day 1' and 'DVC member' one too! :(

OMG Penny don't even get me started on that one  !!!

Another issue may also be if they offer less AP discounts and more Disney Visa discounts we would automatically be excluded. Carolyn

I also feel strongly that we should be allowed the Disney Visa.

If someone has an e-mail address for them, it would be great if a lot of us emailed them - hoprfully they would then consider it here in the U.K.

Richard. :)

I agree with the problem here. I asked a long time ago about the Disney credit card. Now i'm here and STILL can't get one with From day 1 on it.
To be honest it's not a matter Disney can control. They have their name on the card and privilaleges given come through Disney etc. But the card is issued through a bank. I can't remember the bank handling this one. No bank in the US will issue a credit card without social security number and employment details. It's a form filling excersize just like back home, if you don't qualify then you can't have one. I live in Florida now and don't qualify because as yet I don't have a credit rating. I'm still using my Credit card from Scotland.
I know it's most unfair and everyone should be treated the same way. People in the UK spend every bit as much as those in the US.
I wonder if it's worth campaigning Disney UK or petitioning Disney to ask about one purely for the UK.

I've signed too! Gave 'em a piece of my (tiny) mind whilst I was at too for that matter, LOL.

Thanks for taking the time out to create this worthwhile site!
I nearly cried when I realised I wasn't eligible!!
We'll keep pestering them until we get one!!!

Count me in - I want a Mickey Credit card too !! I've just renewed my DC membership so it ryns the end of the year - at an extortionate price for just 6 months privileges ! I had to - I've already booked my room with DC discount !

I've signed and totally agree. I was disgusted. I'm spending more at WDW than an American with a Disney Visa staying on I-drive.
