Do you guys think it's inappropriate to ask them to hold my 10month old baby for a pic? This willl be my baby's first halloween ever... she will be dressing up as Tinkerbell and I plan on her getting pix with Tink.. just the two of them... two tinkerbells lol that would be really sweet. Of course this also depends on my baby's mood that day. But just wondering if this is something I can ask? ... specially tinkerbell :cutie:

I don't see that being a problem at all ~ we have cute photos of my nephew shortly before he turned one with Pooh Bear - he wasn't sure what to think of Pooh! So don't be too disappointed of your little one isn't too sure of Tink.

I think it depends on how comfortable Tink is. I asked Minnie to hold my 11 month old niece and she said no. Tink's costume is much more baby friendly though :)

The princesses wouldn't hold my son when he was a baby because their dresses material was slippery

Can your baby toddle? My daughter could walk at ten months, but I know many ten month olds can't. I think the reason the princesses crouch down for tiny children is because the rules are that they're not allowed to pick them up. So if your tiny Tink can toddle over to Tink it might work--or if she can stand next to Tink if Tink crouches maybe it would work...or maybe not with Tink's short costume. Hmmm.

Ya know what ~ now that I think about I'm pretty sure Pooh didn't hold my nephew his mom held him for photos - but Tink might ~ she isn't fluffy at all!

Can she sit unassisted? If Tink cant/wont hold her (I would bet it could be a liability thing), she can sit with her. Just ask. Here is a picture of my daughter with Tinkerbell, at Pixie Hollow, last year. You could ask Tink to put her arm around her or something. Just another option.

I don't think it will hurt to ask.

On our trip last December our DD was not even 9 months old yet and she was so excited to see Donald Duck that he wanted to hold her. He sat on the floor and motioned for us to give her to him... then he motioned for us to leave because he wanted to keep her, LOL

Definitely one of our top memories :D

Back in the '90's, I went to DL with my then three year old nephew. He was crazy for Pluto. He kept saying when I see Pluto, I'm going to kiss his paw.

So walking in the park, we ran into Pluto. My nephew ran up, dropped to the ground and kissed Pluto's foot. Pluto looked down, I think surprised by the adoration. He bent over and picked him up. Pluto was quite taken by my nephew and held him for a while.

Poor Pluto - all day long it's Goofy, Goofy, Goofy. Finally, a little Pluto love.

You could probably even let her crawl on the ground in her area there. When we went to see tink, she invites my daughter to sit right down on the ground and had a conversation with her. That is how our pics are too.

AWW Thanks for the photos! I love them! Donald duck is soooooo sweeeeet!!!

My baby will be 10months when we go there next month and she is nowhere near walking lol. She can sit unassisted though so that pic of Tink with a baby is a WONDERFUL IDEA!!!!!!:cool1:Jennifer!! How old is your baby there? I dont plan on her crawling there either looks like concrete and she'll scrape her knees.

I was thinking of the same thing.. liability issues. And alll tinkerbell girls have seen don't look like they are parents... or someone used to taking care of babies lol. They all look so young!

She had just turned 2. I also have a picture of them sitting there just talking to each other. I posted this one so you could see Tink's face.

Here she is with Tink when she had just turned 1. I know this isnt what you are going for, but I just love the look on my daughters face...

Bahahahha! I love your baby's expression!!! Shes like who the eff are you? Very sassy indeed!

Technically the characters are not allowed to hold babies/children

The characters are technically not allowed to hold children more for a liability. Some kids are scared of characters, some kids get squirmy, and the characters' dexterity is limited. Could you imagine the lawsuit if a child was dropped? However, that being said, some characters will hold kids and all should be willing to get down on the kids level.

This was 5 yrs ago at WDW, but I went to MNSSHP with my then 8mo daughter dressed up as a dalmatian. I wanted her picture taken with Cruella. I asked the CM in charge of the line if Cruella could hold my daughter. I was told that the characters weren't allowed to hold the babies but I could ask and see what Cruella would do. So I asked her if I could take a pic of just her and my daughter. Cruella was a great sport. She hrumphed and said, "Well, let's see." She knelt on one knee, propped one knee up, patted that knee and said, "Give me the puppy." We placed my daughter sitting on her knee. Cruella held her in place and talked to her while I took some pictures that turned out really great! When I picked up my daughter, Cruella made a big deal about wanting her puppy back and how I took her puppy away. My daughter doesn't remember it but I had fun! So, it doesn't hurt to ask. You might get a character who is creative in interpreting the rules.
