Hi, I'm going to Disney World in October. I know park merch is very expensive, but my daughter really wants to get some things for herself as well as her friends. I was hoping to find another way to get merch cheaply, but since we don't live in the US, every time I found cheap Minnie ears, the delivery would cost twice as much. Then, I found out about The Disney Character Warehouse, and was thinking of visiting on our trip. I've heard that this shop is a bit of a hit miss, sometimes you get a good deal, other times you don't. I've also heard that there can be quite a line for this shop. Is that true? I think think we will be going on the day we arrive, in the afternoon or late afternoon, and if that's the case, is the store busy around that time? My daughter is mainly looking for pins to trade at the park, but also loungefly bags, ears, and maybe a shirt or plush. Would the shop have these on a regular basis?

I am a FL resident and hit these a lot! It's pretty hit or miss with good things, but if you don't go often and go in with an open mind, you can find some great things! Line wise, that hasn't been an issue since covid protocols went away. I've heard better things about the one in Vineland vs the other Orlando one(I often hit the one in south Florida which is close to me). For pins, I actually suggest preordering a bunch on ebay. There are a bunch for cheap, and if you just want for trading you can get mystery bundles. I've not seen a ton of loungeflys or ears, but tshirt and other fun things GALORE! Things I've gotten over the last few years: hair bows, dress shoppe dress, button ups, tshirts, sweatshirt, lounge shorts, spirit jerseys, kitchenware, holiday ears (after the holiday), face masks, etc. Check out YouTube videos on it. Tim Tracker has gone a few times recently, if you want an idea of what they have!

Thank you! I actually looked the address for the Vineland one, and apparently it's about 4 minutes from our hotel, so hopefully we may be able to go one or two times during our stay! I have looked into pin sets on etsy or ebay, but I'm not sure what a good price point would be. I know pins at Disney World sometimes are like $18, so i was thinking of buying a 30 pin set for $68 with free delivery. What do you think? Other then that, I haven't really found pin sets with a good price. Do you have any tips on buying pins online or pin seller recommendations?

Hi, we've been to both outlets, we find they are sort of "hit or miss" depending of course what you're looking for. Along highway 192 (near the Margarettaville resort), there are a lot of gift shops. The merchandise in these stores do have the Disney labels in them. This summer I bought a Jim Shore Disney statue in one of them. We usually go to 2 (you find they all have the same things more or less), then we head over to the Margarettaville resort and have lunch, nice way to spend the morning. The shops on 192 have a ton of T shirts and Disney souvenirs, among other items-

We have "missed" on our last 2 vacations when we went there. My wife or I didn't buy a thing.

Can't really give any suggestions on pins. Last time I did that it was 2017. But pins in the park are usually $8+ depending on how intricate it is

Used to go twice every trip, haven't been since COVID.

Based on our experience, pins were rarely a good buy there, if she really wants to trade I suggest looking on eBay for a small lot to start with. Loungefly were very rare and if they have AND a good price usually bought up fast by resellers. The rest she should find although ears' choices are usually limited. As stated it's a value depending on your expectations.

Is she familiar with the current pin trading process? I'm not sure what they're doing now. When the parks re-opened after the pandemic shutdown, cast members were no longer trading. Some shops had pin boards. I know some people really enjoy pin trading, but I don't think it's as big a thing now as it used to be.

If the shipping cost is all that is holding you back, contact your hotel and confirm they will receive and hold a package for you. Then closer to your trip, place your order and have it delivered to your hotel using the hotel address. Enter the name of the hotel in The address and if room either after your name or one of the address lines: arrive x/x/xx. Also- watch out for foreign transaction fees your credit card might charge. Those fees might eat up any shipping savings.

The ears/pins might not be what you want. They will be a couple of random ear designs, like last time I went was just Germany.

My blanket from there is my MVP in my owners locker. It's really nice.

You should be able to check on Youtube for someone's video before you go.

Just remember, other people are buying that same $68 pin set on eBay to use to trade. So don't expect to find rare or valuable pins when you trade. You are basically trading one eBay pin set for another. Unfortunatley.
