Where is this? Is it a good idea to check this place out?

I saw a 10% off coupon for it in another thread and looked it up... this was all I could really find:

Description: Featuring first quality merchandise from the Disneyland® Resort at incredible savings! Disney® T-shirts, sweatshirts, watches, hats, toys and much, much more. Located three miles North of the Disneyland® Resort at the corner of Harbor Blvd. and Orangethorpe in Fullerton.

It's close enough.. I might as well check it out..

But IDK... are the deals "that" great?

Disney's Character Warehouse is the brand name for a variety of outlet stores, located in Florida, Tennessee and across the western United States which sell liquidated Disney Theme Park Merchandise items from the various gift shops at the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. Often, these items will be sold at significant discounts off their regular prices.

Outside of the state of Florida, they are operated by Asset Management and Sales, LLC., a third-party company. You can view more information about them by visiting their website at http://www.ams-liquidation.com/.

The nearest Disney's Character Warehouse location to the Disneyland Resort is located several miles north on Harbor Boulevard, in the Orangefair Marketplace. Their address is as follows:

243 East Orangefair Mall
Fullerton, California

They are open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays. For more information, ring them directly on 714 870-9363.

It can be hit or miss -- but we always like to check it out!

I've been to the one in Orlando and the one in Las Vegas. I found some good discounts and bought stuff at both (coloring books, lithographs, stuffed dolls, hats - including the princess Minnie hats I'll be pulling out for our May trip). The most discounted items were dated for a couple of years back. I'm hoping to go to the one near Disneyland during our May trip - if nothing else to find some cheaper co-worker souvenirs.

I always find good stuff at The Disney Character Warehouse Outlet Store! And much cheaper. this last time I got a $65. Disney T shirt for $9.99 and $65. Sweat Shirt for $15.00!! I always look for keychains, pens and pencils and hats!! And character items.

...and found it be a real waste ot time...should have been at the park instead. I think all the kids got were some Jibbitz for their Crocs. Most of the stuff IMHO was stuff that no would buy and that is why it ended up there. we won't be returning.

I've thought about whether or not to go myself. I'm still undecided. But we have a Disney outlet store not too far away. I plan on making a trip there before we go. I'm not sure if it's the same..but I got a tinkerbell "stamper journal". It was a tinkerbell notebook and came with stamps. It was originally 12 buck but I only paid 2. It said it was from disneyland. I didnt really look at the park stuff that was there. That was before we started thinking about making a trip to disney. So I want to go back and look at the park stuff.
I think we will probably go to the one there. If we have the time. Might be something fun to do on a hot and crowded afternoon. Or we will need to go get some water and stuff when we get there. So if it's nearby the grocery store then it wouldnt hurt to stop in.

It really depends when you go, at it is very hit or miss.
However, at the outlets I've been to, this one was a lot of fun and I spent a good hour and some in there, and bought about $70 worth of stuff!

I think we may try it since I'm renting a car.

Whoa! Thats a good deal! Do they say "Disneyland" on them.. so its just like the ones from the park?

Awa Man! I hope that its changed.

We get the temporary Outlet stores up here in the Bay Area. They're similar to the one in Fullerton. I agree about the "hit or miss" thing. One find a couple of years ago were some collector plates. They were made for the 50th Birthday of Disneyland. There is a set of 6 and they each have a different "crown" design, with the 6th a painting of the Castle. It took searching through several different Outlets to complete the set, but it was worth it.

We like to go, it's hit or miss but we normally find something to get. :) One year we got sweatshirts for the girls, tie dye purple that said "princess" and had the princesses, we got them for $6.99 and the girls STILL wear them!! I got myself an adults large sweatshirt that said 2006 on it, since we went in 06 I was fine grabbing that! :) We get pins for trading there and we've bought hats too. Make sure you print the 10% off coupon, even if you don't find anything you want you can pay it forward to someone else and give them 10% off. :) PLUS the Sonic is right across the street, so after you shop hit the Sonic for some awesome drinks and tots!! And if you like burgers I find Sonic burgers to be very good, I very much enjoy the California burger. :)

We always head to the one in Fullerton before driving home. In December, as I was checking out, I was looking at the flyers and brouchers in the lobby of our hotel (The Park Vue) and I picked up some flyers for 15% off ! It is definitely hit or miss. The first time I went I spent $200, got sweatshirts, hoodies, tank tops, stuffed animals, pins, autograph books and more. Since then, not so much. I usually will find a couple of good deals, and I think it is kind of fun bargain hunting.

You can sign up for their mailing list and they'll tell you when new shipments are coming in - which helps make it more "hit" - otherwise you'll do best if you're a very small or very large person - mediums go fast. I signed up in person - looks like this might work though:
http://www.ams-liquidation.com/lists.html

I do get most of my Disneyland clothes there - they are ones I've seen in the part 80% of the time ( even picked up one of those great Animal Kingdom shirts with Pooh looking at a Tiger saying 'Tigger, is that you' once - and the limited edition Kevin & Jody Tiki room shirt for about 1/3 of retail). Like others have said sometimes I go and buy nothing, other times I'll spend over $100. Picking up trading pins is always a good deal if you're into that. The one in Orlando is run by Disney and had better stuff, but not as discounted. I regretted giving up 1 day at the parks to shop there, think I'd feel the same about DL if I wasn't a local.

Whoa! That's a good deal! Do they say "Disneyland" on them.. so its just like the ones from the park?

Yes all the shirts I have bought there are Disneyland Park Shirts! The T Shirt and Sweat Shirt were matching Tinkerbell Character Shirts That say "Prettier than a Princess" "Since 1953"!! The tag inside the Sweat Shirt says Disneyland Resort, c Disney and so does the T shirt.

I also got an Electric Mayhem Band Muppets T shirt and And 1 other Disney shirt but I can't recall what it had on the it.

Every time I go to Disneyland I go to Disney’s Character Warehouse Outlet Store. I alway spend $50.00 there! Now admit it takes some looking to find items That fit me or that I like But I check out the Whole store for shirts, Disney pens, pencils, key chains, and hats, or jewelry, and character items. like the framed pin of Minny Mouse, And any Donald Duck items for Dh! And any POTC shirts or items for Dd.

...Whoa! Thats a good deal! Do they say "Disneyland" on them.. so its just like the ones from the park?

Nope, it's not "just like" the ones from the park it IS the ones from the Park. :goodvibes

The things at the Character Warehouse come from Disneyland. Same exact items.
