HEY ALL! My turn for an opinion. Went today to pick up tickets, got there at 10 a.m. tickets were for seats, got seats. Not a problem at all. As for the games? Well, very sad. There is a serious bag check, true, no cameras, period, they will either take it and hold it till you come out or send you back to your care. I had brought a water bottle and a bag of Goldfish for my daughter to snack on and they took them. Said no food or drinks are to be brought in period. Once inside, wow, big disappointment. There are HUGE white tents around the entire perimeter of the stadium, some spots are clear where you can see between them but not well. Behind the tents is the stage which is smack on top of middle of the baseball diamond. Behind that is a giant white shell tunnell looking thing, all around the rest of the area are various visual obstacles. They do have two big screens which show nothing but the DC Games 2008 logo. As another post stated, it is definitely not fan friendly at all. It is true that the stars rarely get close to the fans and are constantly saying "I'm sorry, I can't" or "I will be right back" yet never come back. Although my daughter was fortunate enough to get some autographs it was borderline dangerous getting them. She is eight and everytime the stars did sneak over the older tweens would rush forward and either push the younger ones over or completely lean over the top. As a parent, I may have been a bit rude to many of them by creating a frame around her NOT allowing such behavior to injure her or any other young one in the area. From what I heard alot of parents dropped off their tweens and they were on there own. Total lack of respect for themselves or others, it was sad. The best stars for autographs were Christopher Massey (Zoey 101), Allison Stoner, and Jason Earls, so nice and real and CARED about the fans. Allison snuck out of the back of a tent and made everyone not yell so she didn't get caught. The end of the day is the best time to go for autographs though, just an FYI, we found that the spot on the right side of the dugout on the left by the grassy place is an awesome spot, so if you can get there around 5 and get to the railing stay there!!! Sabrina from the Cheetah girls was the only one that came over to sign, the other two made every excuse and just walked away. Working production or not I feel that Disney should have allowed the stars to at least visit their fans waiting all day, they are stars because of the fans and a little more effort in allowing mingle time would have really made them feel appreciated. Was it worth it? Not as an all day thing, my suggestion is to wait till afternoon, don't get your hopes up, keep the younger ones close and be prepared for battle to keep them safe in the crush zone, don't bring a camera and find a good spot, if you see others running and screaming, don't follow, by the time you get there, the star is gone and so is your spot. Good luck to those who are heading out this week, the good the bad and ugly are awaiting you, but autographs can be found if your lucky. !
