Disney Channel Games 2008???

There was a posting that we applied to looking for families for one of two sessions, four hours each to be available for April 30th. I had to send in pix, names, etc. of all of us who would be there. I asked for the morning taping since OBVIOUSLY we have to be available for the 2:15 parade. Allegedly we will hear back from them by tomorrow afternoon. If anything cool (or not) comes back, I'll let y'all know. How awesome would it be if there were DC stars there for it too?!

That sounds so exciting!Keep us updated if you don't mind. I am TOTALLY speculatiung about DC Stars being in the promoitional filming,but it is interesting that the DCG 2008 Parade and the promotional filming are on the same day.It probably doesn't mean anything,but you never know.

Sorry everybody,but I read absolutely nothing into the link-and believe me I tried!The two charities mentioned are two of the four charities that the four teams will play for ALL week. I think Friday was just mentioned because it is "to be determined".My speculation about Friday is it is just a "make-up" day in case of inclement weather on Monday,Tuesday or Thursday.Hopefully I am BAD WRONG!LOL

I was hoping for your optimism. I was referring to the autograph part of that link. thats all.

Yeah,I looked at it as optimistically as I could!LOL I just think the autographs also refer to autograph opportunties on Monday,Tuesday and Thursday at Champion Stadium.It is going to be so great if I am misreading it though!I don't know if you saw it ,but there was a post that talked about the Friday night "event" and then later it was edited to a ".".I found that very strange and very interesting. It is Post 1747 on Page 117.

Due to time of course. I am thinking it would be like a party for them... what do i know, again all speculation. Here we go again.....lol

I just never could understand why the information was edited to a ".".I think all the post said was that the Friday night event was not open to the public.I just didn't see anything in that that the Poster would not want anybody to see.Oh well,I suppose the mystery will just have to remain unanswered.LOL

Mahipp - if none of the big stars are there monday (which I'm sure they will be) then when I go on Thursday, any autographs I get you can have for your kids. Autographs aren't important to me, it's just nice to look into the eyes of the people you look up too most! So, your covered for autographs! I know it's not the same as getting them yourself, but still a priceless memory.

Pros of going Monday instead of Thursday - maybe there would be less people? As word gets out, will more Orlando area kids be likely to skip school to go?
Maybe the stars won't be "autographed out" - their hands won't be cramped from signing so many autographs? Will they be less tired and therefore more friendly?

i think those are good pros. I would assume they would have the whole field set up for that day already, the crew was out when we got there around 8:30 last year, so I think you'll be fine. And if it is the opening ceremonies, then every star should be there.

The RUMORED schedule for Toy Story Mania has April 30 scheduled for "Promotional Filming".Do you think Disney may be planning on using some of the Disney Channel Stars IN the promotional filming since that is the day of the DCG 2008 Parade?

Ok I am totally trying to catch up on this thread today... life keeps getting in the way... Anyhoo... in case you didn't see it there is a link on Craigslist to email to BE in the promotional taping! I wondered the same things about the stars... could be cool!

Yeah what is up with the "."??? I have seen it done on many a post in this thread. I think maybe we have more "inside" information than we even realize... and some are not too happy about it??!!
