Disney Channel Games 2008???

Last year I got there at about 8:30 AM, because I didn't know what to expect. We made a few friends, and spent 2 hours singing disney songs. There were only about 20 people in front of us in line, but it got a lot bigger as it got closer to 10AM. We stayed until about 5ish and got about 10 (maybe more) autographs. I am not sure how many because I didn't have an autograph book, but my friends did so they got a bunch. But we saw every participant because we went on the day of Simon Says, which everyone participates in.

Last year Cole Sprouse told us there would be more autograph opportunities after the games, but we didn't stay long enough, so I can't be sure. You'll just have to take a guess at what time to go, there's really not any time that is "better" than another.

I'm 13 years old.. so, i'm probably one of the youngest on this thread... However, i'm always so much more interested in these boards then Teen... teen is fun, but everything else on the DIS is just Disney galore.. i love that! If i meet Miley Cyrus that'll be an absolute dream... not even! I really would be at a loss for words... when i met Mitchel Musso (Which i'm a fan, but not an "omg" fan) i froze up and my heart felt like it turned blue... it was just so :O! Miley knows who i am (not as in a friend) but i am friends with her 2 dancers, and i also made the background layout for their YouTube account. Offtopic! Sorry... i really don't know if Miley will be performing at the concert, i can ask the dancers though... i can see.. i asked her like a month ago and she said she knew nothing and she'd usually find out in a weeks advance so hey look... a week, i'll ask her the next time i catch her online. OK,so Joe gets all the adoration and me and Sarahv17 are just a "side note"!?JUST KIDDING!LOL Yes,In MY experience it didn't matter a whole lot what time you were at a taping,if you stay long enough you will see DCG Stars.You mention you are trying to "fit it in" to your vacation.That is what I did last year and what I will be doing again this year.Last year I would go to a park for park opening-I love to be at park openings,especially the Magic Kingdom Welcome Ceremony and The Adventure Begins at Animal Kingdom-then I would do a few attractions and then head over to DHS and catch the WWoS bus.I would spend three to four hours at the DCG and then take the bus back to DHS and transfer to my resort bus there.Once back at my resort I would take a shower and "chill out' for a while and then head back to a park by late afternoon/early evening and stay until closing.I will tell you this-once you get your first autograph,if you are like I was,you will say-I am going to get ONE more autograph and then head to the parks-and that cycle will continue until you finally manage to PULL yourself away from WWoS.LOLGetting DCG autographs becomes very "addictive"!LOLBy the way,YOU ARE WELCOME and I agree with you,SarahV17 is an OUTSTANDING contributor!

Oh my goodness! Thanks so much for helping me out, i think we'll deffinately have it easier when it comes to building our itinerary now that we found out this... yeah, getting autographs is like gambling eh? You start with 1 and you keep saying 1 more... 1 more... I think what we'll do is do whatever EMH for that day and then fit in a little and etc. I love all of the JB by the way... i'm just in absolute loveeeee with everything about Joe. I mean i'd marry them all... hey! But Joe would deffinately be enough!

I see that you are staying at CR.That is AWESOME!Is this your first onsite stay period or your first onsite stay at CR?Will you guys have a car on your vacation?If so,you may want to consider driving to WWoS when you go-that will be MUCH faster that using the DHS to WWoS bus.I never have a car at WDW,so I always use the DHS to WWoS bus,but it can be TIME-CONSUMING!

The only concert participants CONFIRMED by Disney are, like WEDWDW said , Jonas Brothers and Cheetah Girls. HOWEVER ... Radio Disney had a description of the concert in some blurbs on their Florida event calendar (for spots to win tickets). Jordan Pruitt was listed in that. Disney did say "and other surprise GUESTS." Demi Lovato was confirmed to be singing one song from "Camp Rock" by Selena Gomez (no word on whether Selena will be performing). Miley Cyrus is one of those "highly rumored" participants. And on one site, I found that Aly & AJ are RUMORED to be participating. Their performance is completely speculation.. I haven't found any "reputable" sources claiming they'll be there. Hope that helps!

On their myspace, Aly & AJ have a blog that they will be in California on 3/02 for a benefit for MS. Their next performance is slated for June. If they appear at the concert, they would have to fly in on Saturday. With all the others that are supposed to appear, do you think that Disney would do that when they are trying to promote Camp Rock and touting their faith in Demi? Stranger things have happened, but I don't know. I would love to see them at the concert!

Oh well, then I'll have to live with it, because I love Nickolodeon shows (Well, iCarly, Drake and Josh, H2O and Zoey 101) just as much as the few DC shows I watch!

Only thing I can't stand is the Naked Brothers Band...other than that, Nick is pretty cool. I mostly watch Teen Nick though, not the cartoons.

What do you think the DCStars parade route will be? We have seen the block party bash at California Adventure, and that layout is such that it is VERY interactive with the audience. Wondering how early we need to stake out a spot so DD can see all of the DCStars up close and personal and also where the best spot might be

Well,I have completed my research.LOL Block Party Bash goes in the opposite direction that Stars and Motorcars did and is a little longer.It starts close to Sid Cahuenga's shop,then turns left up Hollywood Boulevard to the "Hat",then turns left and goes past the ABC Theatre/future American Idol show,then goes past Star Tours and exits at the gate close to Tattoine Traders.It still goes by the ABC Theatre so that viewing opotion is still applicable.But we really have NO idea at this point what the route will be. It could be the Block Party Bash route,the Stars and Motorcars route or a totally different DCG Are Great In '08 route. Hopefully lxh11 will "visit" us sometime and give us the particulars about the parade and ALSO tell us where to go that day to pick up our Backstage Passes for the parade.LOL My best GUESS is that it will follow the Block Party Bash route as a pre-parade because of the start times of the two parades being 2:15 and 3:00.By the way,be sure to tell DD14 that the Disney people said Hola!

I've never been to Universal in Orlando, but my girls are big Nickelodeon fans. Plus, we know one of the choreographers for Nickelodeon and two of my daughters' friends have danced on Nick shows.

One, who is like a daughter to me, was on iCarly in the Dance episode and was also Jamie Lynn Spears' dance double in the Dance Contest episode. The other was on the Drake and Josh Dance Contest episode - but her dance was cut. She was on it briefly, but they didn't show any of the dance she did.

But, I love Disney most of all. Walt has always been my hero. I admire how he never gave up. He went bankrupt and still kept dreaming. And, I love Disney's attention to detail.
