Disney Channel Games 2008???

Don't plan on this... they have that overhead camera that goes back and forth and front to back and if your kidlets are on your shoulders they will be knocked off - literally... the few who tried this last year were told to remove the kids ASAP. If you have little ones and field tickets, plan to jet to the front so nobody is in front of them OR stay back a bit and watch overhead and on the screens...

Hey, so did you go to the concert last year? Were you on field, or do you know anybody who was? I am trying to figure out how it all works, how they let people on the field and stuff. Thanks.

When the Jonas Brothers were at universal girls got there at 5am to wait to see them at 3pm. There was alot there at that time too!

I'm thinking that may be a little TOO early for something that starts at 8 PM lol!

Me too! One of the posts mentioned that when they let field ticket holders in, that they were led to bleachers first? Or did I get my info mixed up?
I don't know where to look in the last 89 pages to see!

I did go and we were on the field, in the very front actually BUT we were paid to be there so the general public who got tickets for the field were let in way after we were and still were way back. The "extras" are placed up front and then they let in the remainder of the people close to actual concert time. It won't do any good to come and wait all day because as they did last year there ARE "extras" for this concert. The good news is people get tired of standing and waiting around, kids get sleepy etc... and people move and others move up and into their places.

The field bleachers are all EXTRAS too so general audience will NOT be sitting there At least not until some extras work their way up into the crowd and then people standing get tired and start taking their seats LOL

I have a question about transportation for all the vets... I heard that there are buses that go to WWoS from DHS. This is a reall good thing for us considering we won't have a car. Will they still be running these buses after the concert, since it is scheduled till 11?? And if not are there any cabs around? I am scared we are going to get stranded!

Oh, really? That's a disappointment. :( Oh well, I'll still be there all day anyways, haha.

I was in field last year. We got there at around 9am, i forget when gates opened, but it wasn't until WAY later. They DO put you on the bleachers first, and then they bring you to the field -- at least they did last year.

Theres a section RIGHT in front of the stage, where all the DC Games stars came and stood to watch the concert. Right behind that was another gate, where the field ticket holders stood.

But in 2007, didn't the doors open at 3 for the 5:30 start of the concert? At least that's wht I read on a WDW news site.

sheesh a girl goes to work and there's only a handful of posts? What is going on here? LOL

OK news! haha...The games maybe covered! The stars wanted more shade this year so i dont think they mean totally covered but only extras may see the games! I wouldnt plan a trip for a week just for this! Unless your an extra!

Thing is that you didn't have to have tickets to see the concert in universal. You need tickets to see the DC Games Concert. And the people with regular seats don't even have to arrive very early, seeing as how their seats are already assigned. So it'll be about 500 field seaters waiting vs the infinate amount at universal.

Haha! I think we've all exhausted all our "sleuth" options. :) And we're left to wait for all that info that's supposed to be on its way! :)

Haha, I have been off and on all day. Didn't find much information, too busy typing...almost 10 pages now, worth of Mythology terms for my stupid exam coming up!!

School stinks!

I hope they announce teams/colors within the next week or so. Anyone think that's a possibility? I don't remember hearing about teams prior to the games last year, but then again, I wasn't as in the know then as I am this year. Last year I just kind of went, not knowing what to expect.

We'll know how that works when whoever picks up their tickets on Monday, 04/28!
