Disney Channel Games 2008???

SO - I just bought the tickets to the 5/2 Pricness & Pirate party. I'm thinking what a fun way to end the week of DCGames fandom and get amped before the LONG LONG LONG six hours on the field surrounded by the crazed Jonas girls. Anyone else going to be there? They don't offer anything like this at Disneyland so I'm really excited to see the park kind of emptied out. Who's been? Who's going? Let's PLAN :woohoo:

P and P is good. It is my 2nd time. The best party is the halloween party. Halloween party you treat or treat with the characters. pretty cool. The Pirate party you can meet jack sparrow!!! The kids go around and get coins and jewelery. Pretty cool. I will be there. Rather have a late night then rest next morning for the concert. Watch the parade and the show. Here is where I get my info from on these things.

I like allears, sorry. Hope it helps out a little.

I have wondered whether this was really worth the money. With the ages of my brood I'm bringing, do you think they will enjoy. I may my niece (15), my son (13), and my two daughters (5. and 4). Let me know if this is something worthwhile. we already spent $1500 on our MYW tix for the week, so I hate to spend additional, but if its worth it, I'd like to check it out. I did read the info on it attached, but personal experience stories are always much better.

That is great information!! Thank you!! Still on the lookout for anyone else who is planning on going on 5/2.

We are going to PP&P on 5/2 too!! Have never done this party before but we are also not doing any parks during the weeks. Just coming down for the games. We had to promise my husband we wouldn't do the parks without him! We compromised for the party and possibly Disney Quest or a water park. So basically we're just going down to hang out at WoWS all week!

I would hate to say do it and you not like it. Have you ever been to a hard ticket event? I would go to experience it. I know it is a few bucks especially for your brood. 1 thing I have learned with Disney, as my time here shows, is that memories we share as a family is worth all the money and time. How often do you get away? With the money you have spent what is a few more. The fireworks show is different, really good. The atmosphere is wonderful. Right now I work 24 hr shifts, a part time job and school on tuesday and thursday. :surfweb: A vacation to me is worthwhile when there is nothing else to talk about the whole ride home. Ok, now that my commercial is over..lol,:)
It is definately upto you. Do research, search boards, search opinions, you will get good and bad info. Try to see if comments are legit or just grumpy people. If I had money I would pay for the whole board to go together.. :yay:

I can't speak for the P&P party, but our family, teenagers included, went to Mickey's Halloween this past Oct. We went to take our DD8. She is not much of a thrill seeker and about lost it on Lilo and Stitch! I guess I should say she did lose it! :scared1: That was her and my first and last ride that night. The teenagers (this would include my DH as he had such a good time too) enjoyed the candy and the rides and the lines were not long to wait in. Now that could be because they chose to ride many rides that might not interest the majority of the park goers that night many of who were under 6yo. But our 8yo was happy just to do the Trick or Treating. She also loved the light parade.

Thanks for all the personal info. I work long hours, but travel fairly often with the family. I agree that the memories we create and share are very important. I live in Northern California, so regular trips to Disneyland are normal for us (at least once a year). However, this will be my 4th trip to WDW, and I still have yet to see everything. I always try to catch the things I am unable to see and do at Disneyland. This sounds like a lot of fun. Maybe I'll try and add it to our agenda. You're right, what's a few extra bucks...smile

getting dissapointed because I can't find anything else :(

Chalb - your son and niece will love it because the lines are SO short on the really good rides that I am sure they love - and your little ones will love it because - well - don't they all love being princesses and pirates and going to Disney? We're not going this time but we did the Christmas Party and they were able to ride their favs over and over with no wait - unlike normal days when you spend half the day running back and forth for fast passes and standing in line...

It's all coming in due time. Before we know it, BOOM !!!! There will be comments galore.

YEA, can you imagine what we will be like when the info does come out. Look how often we all post now...when they announce the info we'll probably add another 100 pages in about 10 minutes!!!! :rotfl2:

I mentioned this earlier, but we will be at the P&PP. Sounds like a lot of fun to me. I was soooo excited when I found out they added our dates!!pirate: princess:

Get ready for uncontrollable posting ... :)

"Any idea when a "team" list will be announced? Thank you!! :)"
HAL'S NOTE: Soon, I'm told.

And I'm sure the wait will be well worth it! :)

I have been speaking with Alyson Stoner. Suite Life, Mikes Supershort Show, Camp Rock. She is the absolute nicest person in the world. She is a great role model for kids and I hope she is successful before she deserves it. I dont want to post her conversation out of respect for her so please PM me and I will give you a transcript. Sorry for the inconvience but I always try to do what is right.

I will be attending the PPP it's my 2nd time... as I said before I am going for a grand gathering with my fam tho. It's totally awesome. I am a big fan of the parties. I know some aren't, but I think it's a cheaper better way to see MK. Although I have to say if I had already spent the money on a MYW tic for the day I don't know if it would be worth it. Kinda depends on what you are into. We are BIG pirate and princess people :)

I have noticed when Hal says soon it usually within a day or so.... I figured they would wait until two weeks out because generally you can't get a flight without paying an arm and a leg in that time frame. It would keep down crowds. Yay!! I am so excited!!

If you went to both the games and the concert last year, which did you enjoy more and why?

I am thinking the concert is going to be a total madhouse!!!!
