Disney Channel Games 2008???

this is a email i send to disney about the parking confirmation letter you get with your tickets

I picked up my tickets today and I got the letter for the parking . but my friend will be coming in her car and she does not have a letter , How does this work? Do I fax her a copy or will she be able to park without this letter. I will not see her until the day of the concert.

the reply i just got was:

If you have all the tickets and she has no tickets and no letter, she will not be able to park at DWWS. I would suggest you meet up and car pool. Copies of letter may not be accepted.

to the public - we have to be as nice and as polite as we can to the Disney people. If we make it a hassle, they can always choose to close the games - either this year or next...

Plus, remember that since this is a public forum, Disney people can and are watching what we say. We need to be sure to be thankful for everything we've gotten!

I second that emotion! The Disney Channel Games is a first-class event organized and run by first-class people as is everything at Walt Disney World. I still fear that the awesome Walt Disney World Resort will never completely recover from a week of interaction with JB Nation!LOL

Lawn means field. And technically, the field is closer because you'll be in front of the stage, and the seats are behind the field..if that makes sense...

Nope. It's general admission. When the open the gates, you guys rush to "claim" your spot. It's literally "first come, first serve."

last year if you had field tickets you had to go and get a wrist band and then you sat on the bleacher then they called you to come on the field so i guess they are doing the same thing this year

YES BUT THAT WAS AFTER THE "EXTRAS" WERE PLACED IN THE FRONT SECTION OF THAT FIELD. We Were in that bunch and were in the front but then even though we were in the front - there is still a gate where the stars are sort of roped off in front of that before the stage so even though we were front row field, we were actually second row because the stars were first row... make sense? THEN they brought in the groups of fielders in behind us section by section. No you did not have to stay in "your spot" but it kept people from mass crashing up to the stage... sort of organized chaos in typical Disney fashion.

the field is set up and looks great! There are many tents set up. We saw some for radio disney, each team: red, green, yellow and blue, etc. There was a stage set up near second base. There were many tents set up upstairs as well. They appeared to be some type of catering tents.
T-shirts are grey and black with the dcgames logo- $21.92. There were also tanks for $18.95. There was a ton of HSM, Hannah Montana and JB stuff for sale in the shop....hmmm. The clerks in the store knew nothing about the games. I spoke with a dcgames crew member and he was shocked that so little info is available for fans to come and watch. Also, thought y'all would get a chuckle out of this- the dcgames crew guy knew nothing about the "craziness" of the jobro fans. I suggested shot-gun earplugs

Thanks for the info!I was hoping the shirts would be white again this year because autographs showed up so good on them.That sounds like the DCG Concert stage at second base.That is where it was set up last year.Note to dcgames crew guy-JB NATION IS ON THE WAY!LOL

I'm posting from the contemporary RIGHT now... and we got upgraded to a tower room! We are sooo stoked! Our room is beautiful and has a view of the lagoon in where we were able to see the water parade... beautiful! Loved it. I don't think i will ever stay offsite again... Disney made me fall in absolute love. What better of a first onsite trip could we have had?! Anywho, we picked up our tickets today and got section 209 row A... not too bad... well.. they are pretty high, but heck i'm thankful to go! I'm not even going to argue about the location cause then somethin will happen and i DO NOT want that!!

I can not wait until Monday... wait a second though... does the DC games event still runnin? Or is it only friday that isn't? AH!!!!!! I AM SOOOO STOKED! And where exactly is the DCgames event (not the concert) goin to take place.

I just wanted to encourage everybody to "show some love" to the International Disney Channel Stars. I think last year that alot of people didn't ask them for autographs,etc. simply because they didn't know who they were.Just remember they are big Stars on the Disney Channel in their home countries.Let's make them feel welcome.It is probably the first trip to WDW or even the U.S. for some of them.If you ask one of them a question such as what they do on the Disney Channel in their country and they just kind of smile and don't say anything they aren't being rude-I would imagine some of them only speak limited English or no English at all. I "met" an International Star from Spain last year named Andrea Guasch and she was INCREDIBLY NICE,in fact if I had to name the two nicest Stars I "met" last year it would probably be her and Kyle Massey.The International Stars can really help you build up your autograph "count" also.

I know this has been asked before and I do intend to wade through all of the posts later, but I was wondering if someone could give me either the phone number or an email addy I could use to ask if someone else can pick my tickets up for me?
I already emailed the dcgames20008 addy, and was told that one has now been closed down. Any other suggestions?

I dont know about email. It is kinda close to the date. I would look up the ticket office at Wide World of Sports and try calling them..No promises though. Good Luck!
