Disney CD Music

I would like to know where to find some cd's locally or on the internet. (Any Disney music!)

Also: what are your recommendations???

The Magic in the Streets CD has music from the parades at all parks. It is available at WDW stores and should be available elsewhere.

Costco recently carried a 6 CD set that includes :charac2: :charac2: music from the parades, narration from the rides (the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Small World, CoP, etc) that make it seem as though you are there actually going through the ride again! Music from the Main Street dixie band, Wishes at the Castle, and even holiday Disney oriented music is on the CDs. I got the set for my son for Christmas and we all love listening and feeling like we are right back at Disney. :earsboy:

I just saw that overstock.com has a bunch of them!

can you give us the name of the CD set??? Tried looking on overstock.com but was not able to easily find it Thanks

LOVE Magic In The Streets. I just finished loading it onto my IPOD a few minutes ago. Love it! We've been jamming to Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade all afternoon.

Edited to add link: http://laughingplacestore.com/Product-0767.asp

I'd LOVE to have this, but $37.65 for a CD with 8 songs on it?!?!?!? I kept thinking it was a typo, but all the park CD's are equally if not more expensive. :confused3

I noticed some of the prices on laughingplace.com were much more pricier than those you can get for the same park item by calling Disney Merchandising and ordering it through them. Some item prices I almost fell out of my chair, but called Disney Merchandising and got the same thing for much MUCH less, and at regular park price, not marked up. The telephone number for DM is 1-407-363-6200. :flower:

I have purchased most, if not all, of my WDW CD's through DM and love them all. And I get into Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade, too! :goodvibes

Maybe I mis-read a previous poster, but I never paid that much money for one CD (at least that I can remember). Most of the CD's I purchased, including Animal Kingdom, MK, and EPCOT, were all around $12 - $18.

In all fairness, they are really a shopping service and they have to make a profit. They go into the parks and buy the product for you so they have to build in a profit margin.

Now, I agree, some of the prices are definitely to high for me to take advantage of including the CD example above. Wow. :rotfl:

But, at least it's an alternative for someone like me who didn't take advantage of buying something when I should have-when I was actually at Disney. Lesson learned for me on that.

The 6 CD set is called 50th Anniversary, A Musical History of Disneyland

Disc 1: Music from Main Street, Adventureland, and New Orleans Square
Disc 2: New Orleans Square (con't) and Critter Country
Disc 3: Frontierland and Fantasyland
Disc 4: Fantasyland (con't), Mickey's Toontown and Tomorrowland
Disc 5: Tomorrowland (con't) and 50th Anniversary (fireworks and closing ceremony)
Disc 6: Seasonal attractions (Country Bear Christmas, It's Small World holiday, Haunted Mansion Holiday, Main Street Electrical Parade, Fantasmic

It also comes with a nice book of the history of the park.

Cost was $64 at Costco, but list price was something like double that. We love this set.

They do have several different cd's at overstock.com under $15.00. Shipping is only 2.95. I did a quick search under music-keyword Disney and found pages of them. They have a "Wishes" cd but I am not sure if it is the same one from the parks.

Last year I found a 3 cd set on www.Buy.com for under $30 that included the music from spectro magic on volume 1. You might want to check there.
