Disney Carribean Beach Resort

Can anyone help me out with info on this resort. Where to stay, things to do, restaurants etc...
Looking for our 10 and 3 yr old to have fun.

The resort is really wonderful. The only thing is that right now through mid Sept the main themed pool is closed for major renovations.

Order the kids meal. It comes in a bucket with a shovel you can keep! Also, mail a real coconut home that you can write on ( cost is about $18 ).

We are thinking about staying here on our next trip so I am taking notes and comparing to our other choices.

We did have friends stay here last year and they had a room in Trinadad North (a King Room) for their stay and really enjoyed the atmosphere and resort. They do not have children yet but are very familiar with kids because of neices and nephews and I think the would have recommended it for a family stay. Although my DS is older than yours - they recommeded it to us. They really liked the pool area and beach area - it should be even better now since they are refurbishing the pool area. They liked the food court and said their room was in a good location and clean. Hope this helps.

They are building an entirely new pool area. It will be beautiful when it is done.

Hey, that's us that you're taking about!!
We LOVED this resort! We really enjoyed it, and definitely recommend it, as you can see. One of my favorite parts of the resort was the main pool. I think the kids would have a blast on the slide...I know the DH and I did! I believe there may be a playground or two on the property as well!

I want to thank all those who shed some light on Carribean Beach. It has really helped.
We are a little disappointed about the main pool being closed until the 15th.
We were planning on going early to mid Sept.
Between that and not knowing if we can get a room close to the main eating area, we are considering another disney resort.

I am taking my parents along and unfortunatley walking all day in a park and having to walk too much at the hotel may cause an issue.

I can tell you... without a doubt, this is a wonderful resort. It's not too crowded and while, the big pool is being renovated, you can enjoy the fact that every island has a pool. The beach is a wonderful play-spot for the kids. Mine are 9 & 4 and we loved it here.

The grounds are beautifully maintained, there is a tropical feel about everything there, which I adored. There are bunnies and ducks EVERYWHERE, our 4 year old loved that!

We will definately be staying there again and I will recommend this resort to EVERYONE!!!!

I appreciate the info. Especially the ducks and bunnies. My kids will love that. I think we will try to get to a water park to make up any loss on the pool.



As a Parent (can't remember the dates when I was a kid

2006 Sept. It was the best vacation we ever had.
2008 Sept. (can't wait to get there)
