Hi!
Congratulations to your daughter!
My daughter is Caitie...she is in Attractions. She is sooo excited but sooo nervous! We bought a comforter and sheets this afternoon and she got so scared because it kind of makes it real!
I totally understand about the college thing. We spent the whole weekend explaining it to people at her skating competition and some people were really excited about it for her and some felt it was kind of beneath them or their kids. I am very glad she has the sense and bravery to go against the grain and do this to find out if she likes it. She goes to a voc/tech high school and is in the culinary program. In her 4 years studying culinary arts she has discovered that...she doesn't like to cook!

Thank goodness we didn't have to pay for high school! She does like the service part, though, and is very good at it! This is what has led her to thinking she may want to go into hospitality and her decision to try it out through WDW...can't find a better place! I would MUCH rather her do this, figure out what she wants to do, meet new people, and everything else that comes with it, than have her go to college and hate what she is trying to do! I am very proud that she can go against the grain!
I am sorry if this has been asked before...but...does anyone have an idea of what goes on for the first few days when they check in? We have a vacation planned...at WDW, of course!...for the 10 days before she has to check in...happy coincidence for us! Now we are trying to decide if we should keep it the same and stay for a few extra days to help her settle or should we push our arrival date back a few days or some other scenario that I am sure will further complicate our crazy decision process! I want to be there until at least the 3rd or 4th to help her out if she needs it!
Thanks!
