I can't be the only one with this problem.

DH couldn't link AP vouchers to MDE, even after several attempts. So today I call the DVC number and choose the option for MDE questions and they can't seem to identify the vouchers and are asking where we bought them from....:rotfl2: I told them DH purchased them direct through Disney, probably on-line. How can they not identify their own vouchers?

I guess DH is going to try calling them to see if he can get somewhere with them. He found his confirmation email from Disney so hopefully that will help.

Does the voucher have a bar code, or just the confirmation number?

I called the DVC Member Services number and didn't get anywhere with them.

DH called (407) 939-4357 and they were able to identify the vouchers and link them to MDE.

I had similar issue. Activated my annual pass in July of this year. Used it for a week. In October, we booked our next trip and I wanted to link everything on MDE. DH's EXPIRED AP (it expired in August) came up together with our old KTTW cards from our July trip. I put in my AP number and it said that it was already linked somewhere else. I tried scanning the barcode, same error. I called DVC and they passed me onto MDE IT. They said, they see it when they log in, but for some reason, I can't. Then they told me that I will have to go to GS when I arrive for our next trip and get a replacement AP issued. I keep saying I will call back when I have another hour or two to waste on the phone.... :confused3 It's very frustrating.

I also think there is confusion in terminology.

A Voucher is a piece of paper mailed to you, after you place an order for an Annual Pass.

A will call number is given to you, to use to link your tickets to MDE and then to use to claim your actual pass when you arrive at WDW.

If you order your tickets online from WDW Tickets you will be emailed a Will Call #

If you call Member Services and order you have the option to have the voucher mailed to you or given a will call number.

DH requested the voucher sent to us rather then the WC# so we had the actual vouchers in hand.

I did ask the CM if there was someone else that I could talk to since she couldn't identify the vouchers and I knew they were legitimate. She said she was the only one there dealing with these issues. I told her that I would call back later and she said I would just get her again and she couldn't identify them. My guess is she was new.

Anyway, if you run into this issue through the DVC MDE number, hang up and try the main help number that I gave in earlier post.

If they have a bar code and you have MDE on either a smartphone or tablet, you can use the app to scan the bar code. Most reports are that scanning works better than trying to key in the number. This applies to tickets, voucher and will call confirmations.

For some reason since the beginning of this the actual mailed vouchers have caused problems.

I always avoid MS when ordering tickets, I see no advantage to using them and order directly from Disney tickets online. It made everything so much easier when adding them to MDE. MS does not seem very knowledgeable about tickets and I guess it is understandable since that is not their division.

I saw it reported that in order to RENEW a DVC AP in advance you need to call Member Services, not ticketing. It may be a recent change.

I know when I called regular ticketing to order my MVMCP ticket I asked for a DVC discount, and they said I had to call DVC to get a DVC Discount, they would not process a DVC Discount...but they did process the AP Discounted MVMCP ticket, so I used the AP instead of the DVC discount, since it was really the same discount.

You are correct, for special situations, such as renewals and party tickets, you might have to deal with MS.

With the DVC price party ticket they have no way to prove you are truly DVC over the phone, while MS does.

YES, I could not get my vouchers to go into My Disney Experience, until I scanned my green vouchers with my iPhone. Boom, they were entered right in and I could make FP+ reservations.

But I still have to go to Guest services to get it finalized, to prove I am the DVC member who ordered these with the DVC discount.

Well, that and get the actual APs. :) You can actually do it at any ticket booth.

When my PAP were messed up during my October trip (right after activating them) there was no record of my passes or the voucher or anything. A wonderful Guest Relations CM searched and hunted and tried everything in the world (no pun intended) to find them and then she asked how I paid for them when I originally ordered them. I gave her the credit card I used and she was somehow able to track it from my credit card number and verify that I actually had PAPs. That was a long and frustrating day - but the CM did not give up!
