I have a group of 11 so when making my reservations, I split my group into two for two different places. I made them all in the same name because for one of them I needed my credit card. I just read in another post that disney cancels out any double reservations 35-45 days before your reservation date. Does anyone know if this is true?

It's 100% untrue that Disney does this automatically.

There have been isolated reports of reservations going "missing" after guests talk to CM's on the dining line. It seems that there are some CM's who've taken it upon themselves to cancel what they perceive to be double bookings.

It's safest to book the second set of reservations in another party member's name in your case.

Thanks. So I guess my best bet would be to cancel one of the reservations and rebook it in another name.

Yes rebook with another name from the party. That's what a CM told me to do to be on the safe side. You could aways call Disney to do that and explain the situation. they should be able to do it without a problem since it's for someone of your party or they might even able to combine the ressies all in one.

I was told by a cast member as well that they do delete double bookings. Not quite sure if this was true but, didnt want to risk it. Waiting to see if things open up (such as wishes in June ) and will then modify accordingly.

As usual different CM different answer. I called to cancel a bunch yesterday since we were changing dates of trip and was the CM thanked me for calling to cancel. We had a nice chat about people not calling and people double or even trip booking. She did mention in conversation that they were NOT ALLOWED to cancel people double bookings for just that reason as well as some other reasons. She did say that there were days that she would look at them and wished that she could but it is a big NO NO. I thanked her for her honesty. So I'm not sure there is much to be worried about... but you never know if a CM will follow the rules. (Although that makes me laugh that a CM would break the rules to get even with a non-rule follower.)

Soon, double bookings will not be allowed. August is already a nightmare thanks to double booking.

Oh no!

We are a party of 6 and had to book 3 different ADR's for 2 each for one dinner to get all 6 of us in. I couldn't get a reservation for 6 together. Does this mean that all 3 of my ressies for 2 will be cancelled? They were for all the same time at the same place.

This is the one and only ressie that we REALLY, REALLY wanted! Obviously, or we would have just picked something else.

What to do....................:sad2:

I know how you feel. This happened to us with CRT. I didn't think it would be considered a double booking if its for two tables at the same place. It's not the same as making reservations at different restaurants for the same time. I put the second table in my husbands name and gave his info just in case.
