Disney canceled my Mine Train FP for Sept 27

The person is not able to do anything for that day. I asked about the anytime FP+ and she wasn't even able to do that.She took my number though and said she was going to talk to a manager and see.

Call back and talk to a different CM. And another and another and another, if necessary. They absolutely can do something, but sometimes you'll get a CM who won't help or doesn't know how. Tell whoever you talk to that you want an anytime FP for SdMT that day, and politely hang in there until you get it. Good luck!

"I was unhappy but figured I'd go with the flow and was lucky enough to find one for the next day (a non party day) so I booked it and hour later got the same message! It was cancelled due to an unexpected change in the riding schedule...."

So, according to this poster, their SDMT was canceled on a non-party night. Either there's an unexpected refurb, or a glitch -- like they've canceled EVERY FP for SDMT in the evenings, or something. They've done something similar before....

The CM I spoke to said the computer stuff went crazy with 7Dwarfs. I tried to book 7 dwarfs for Tuesday when our Sunday FP was canceled and it didn't even show up as a choice! Glad he fixed the 27th for us.

THIS. I got lucky with my second call. The first call wasn't effective. I also wrote WDW a scathing e-mail. They called me back today and left a VM.. I'm supposed to call back to a specific office/extension. I've no idea what they intend to tell me. I wrote the e-mail before I called and tried again and resolved the issue. It doesn't excuse the situation as a whole, but still.

It's good for them for making it right, but it's bad that you had to try so hard to get them to make that fix. I suspect that they realized their screw-up w/ the party nights; didn't want to give anytime passes to the whole lot because it could create issues w/ standby line times et al; figured only persistent people would call and complain; but decided not to communicate this effectively w/ all their phone line employees. A lot of people will hear, "glitch, sorry" or, "1-day refurbishment, sorry," then say to themselves, "oh well," and just roll with it.

It's both clever and evil from a marketing & PR perspective. It does not improve my opinion of the company, nor does it make me want to return substantially often. I can't say never at all - that's extreme. But I do have a deep and growing personal issue w/ feeling taken advantage of by corporations in general. I have a short list of stores & restaurants/fast food places in our own town that I won't even buy from anymore. I don't even want them to have my money. On the plus side, I've saved more money, reduced waste (throwaway cups & such from Starbucks & Dunkin), and lost weight. Plus I get to feel like I'm "stickin' it to the man." Maybe it's a being-in-the-end-of-my-20s phase. Or maybe it's a sick-of-rampant-consumption-in-America phase, which is ironic from someone planning a trip to WDW, which is basically the epitome of rampant consumerism.

A lot of people will hear, "glitch, sorry" or, "1-day refurbishment, sorry," then say to themselves, "oh well," and just roll with it.

And how will these people, who believe it is a refurbishment, feel when they get to the park and see it running and people walking into the FP lane? Is Disney just hoping that they wouldn't remember all this craziness by the time their trip comes?

UGH!! They just cancelled my Haunted Mansion FP+ for 6-7 on a party night and gave me Jungle Cruise from 2:30 - 3:30!! This is ridiculous!

No, I know the canceling of the FP's on party days was deliberate. I was interested in the fact that someone reported that their SDMT FP had been canceled on a NON-party day.

I believe the glitch story onlt because when I wanted to book 7 Dwarf for another day, it wasn't listed as an option. I didn't believe it before that.

Well, *as a side note*, since WDW seems to have adopted the "tick people off first, ask questions later" business model for party nights already, this gives me hope that they are willing to once again announce the Villains Sinister Soiree at the last minute, and keep all of the Villains behind a pay wall again for 2015.

My HM FP was canceled from its 5:55-6:55 time frame and we opted to meet Mickey upon entering the park and save HM for the party. It was a frustrating change but not huge so I never called or did anything about it. Today I logged into my itinerary and on that day it says FP+ for 4 guests, select one experience for our date at MK between 9am and 7pm. Is this a fourth FP?

My BTMRR was cancelled on the September 25th, it was scheduled from 6-7pm. My 7DMT was not changed, neither was my Peter Pan... not cool Disney!

Isn't BTMRR closed for refurb? sounds like they are expecting it to be delayed in it's reopening.

How do you see 7DMT at all? When I try to change the experience for the Splash Mountain replacement, it doesn't show 7DMT in the list... or is that because it's looking within the same exact time block? What an annoying system.

I sent a letter to customer service imploring them to fix this. If they don't, as drastic as it sounds, I expect this will be our 2nd and last trip to WDW. It's too much stress with scheduling and planning -- it's not a fair system. I'd rather run on the ground to paper fastpasses than spend hours planning a schedule, be on at midnight 60 days out, book stuff, and then pray that Disney doesn't randomly cancel and replace it. Freaking crazy.

I have stated this before. While we all love (perhaps freakishly) Disney, in the end, they are just a company that is competing with many other companies for our entertainment dollars. I am not a fan of FP+ for a number of reasons. The complexity, as well as the need to go to a kiosk to get another pass after your first three is annoying. The inability to handle two parks is also disappointing.

Disney has been gearing up more and more for the upper class, and not as much for the middle class. I totally get the time is money argument, but the number of families I have seen with the Disney tour guides, all this makes me wonder.

It used to be the fast pass was available to anyone. If you knew and understood the system, you could do rather well at avoiding lines. Now it seems. we are creating classes. 60 days if you stay on site, 30 days for an AP holder, and I guess only same day if you are just buying a ticket.

Soon, I can only guess, resort guests will get the extra perks. Perhaps 5 passes for those of us staying at a deluxe resort, 4 for a moderate, and 3 for a value. Perhaps 2 E-Ticket rides for those at a Deluxe resort, but only 1 for a moderate and none for a value room.
