Disney called again this morning re: Toy Story Meal

I don't know why but Disney called again this morning about the Toy Story Meal. She was very chatty and thanked me for taking the time to write, Disney appreciates me yada yada yada. Then she also mentioned that Buzz Lightyears costume has very poor visibility and might prove difficult to manuver. I pointed out to her that Buzz Lightyear does the ice capades and if he could flip on ice and see I'm sure a breakfast with 3 yr olds wouldn't be more of a challenge. I also told her I have every faith in the creativity of the Disney people and that if they could make Mission Space happen I'm sure a Toy Story Meal is childs play(pun intended) I also pointed out that some charactors at Charactor meals just hang out in the lobby like Goofy at Chef Mickeys, Piglet stands in the middle of the room at CP etc.. She was a little taken aback at the ready responses and said wow those are very good points.(thanks fellow Dis'ers) I also pointed out there are at least 4 charactor meals that are princess/girl themed and she seemed a little surprized and we went through them.

She told me if they hear from more and more guests about a specific request than of course Disney will take a hard look at what people are saying. No guarentees but you never know. Sooo if you haven't done so PLEASE WRITE SO WE CAN BE HEARD!!! Thank you for your help

What about that video game they came out with. Was it Adventures or something? They sold bedroom decorations, toys, and clothing with that theme. That would be great to do for boys.

Too funny, but soooo true!! DD and DS both LOVE Toy Story. We are taking our first trip in 9 days but would love to see a character meal with these characters when we return in the near future.

I will definitely write.

I love your statement about Buzz on ice skates!! that would have been the clincher for me if I was the person on the other end of the phone.... Boys need to have fun too....my DS would love a boy charector meal....for that matter my DD loves Toy Story too.

Yes, I too wrote a letter and emailed Disney about your Toy Story campaign back six weeks ago. I did get a response from my email but not the letter. Guess cuz I didn't give them my number.

I wrote that there's more than enough Princess meals and my young kids really don't know Goofy and chip and dale.

My boys would love to see either a Toy Story or an all male character meal with Capt. Hook, Pinnochiio, Tarzan, etc.

This is a huge untapped market that Disney would do well with.

Come on Disney executives, this is a no-brainer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will write again!

I agree; I also suggest that you post this on the other boards, such as the Theme parks board and really start a writing campaign. With 67,000+ members it should make a difference.

While I completely agree that a Toy Story or boy themed meal is needed, please don't go over board saying that there are "too many" girl themed meals. There can't be "too many" if you have to call exactly 90 days out to get a PS, and yes even the Story Book Breakfast and Cinderella's dinner are very difficult to get if you don't call the first day. Let's not give Disney the idea that they should trade one for the other.

I'll write another letter. I would like to see a Toy Story breakfast. I believe Disney does pay attention to feed back. I think that's why the EMH is back.

Thanks for the address!! I have a DD but she has always loved Buzz and Toy Story. She likes the princesses but it's Buzz she plays mostly and requested a Buzz party for her birthday. I will definitely write for all us girls who want this too!!

Can someone post the e-mail address ?! - I would love to see a character breakfast return to MGM - and Toy Story would be one that we would definitely attend !!

I also remember the one they had with Aladdin, Genie and a lot of other characters - the kids loved that one ! I also love the idea of an "adventure" meal ! - they could station Buzz and Woody in one place, if it's hard for them to move around the room, and have characters like Peter Pan, Indiana Jones, etc visit the tables!

I think the Adventurers meal sounds great too. My boys would love that theme! There's something for everyone: Tarzan, Hercules, Aladdin, Peter Pan - it would be awesome!

Another great idea: How about Brother Bear meal at WL? I was soo bummed when they got rid of the Pocahontas breakfast there. They need to bring something back in with the popularity of WL, and Brother Bear would be perfect.

I love the Toy Story idea too! I will definitely write and send and email!
