I'm wanting to order a bday cake for my daughter when we are there in May. Has anyone ever ordered a cake? Will they deliver to Ariels Grotto for a party? Or will I have to take my own?

I kind of looked it over but it's very overwhelming. It doesn't say anything about Ariel's that I could find. Isn't there any newer information and more recent pictures? Thank you

We haven't been very impressed with the quality of the Disneyland cakes. We ordered a cake to be delivered to Goofy's Kitchen 2 years ago, and we all thought it was pretty blah. The year before that we got the birthday buckets delivered to the Blue Bayou. The cake tasted so bad, that my daughter wouldn't even eat it, and we all tried it and had to agree, it was awful. The problem is that the cake is really heavy, and the frosting tastes, well, it doesn't really taste, it's just heavy too. They also didn't give us a choice of buttercream for the layer inside, and we didn't really like raspberry in the center. Others may like that, we didn't.

We've also done the birthday party at the Plaza Inn where you decorate your own cake. Once again, the cake is really heavy, and the frosting is so sicky sweet that we didn't touch them after we made them. Plus, don't get the frosting on your clothes, it doesn't come out. So last year we went down the street to the Albertson's and ordered a cake there. It was far better than anything we had at Disneyland, and it was MUCH cheaper.

No, they will not deliver to the parks. I ordered my daughters fom The Grand Cali OMG it was awesome I never expected to be as detailed. I will be ordering again for my 30th ugh during our mommy and princess trip when celebrate the awfull 30. They truely mean if you can dream it they can do it.

Do you have a picture?

I feel really jilted then on the cake I ordered. It was nothing like I ordered!!! It was from the Disneyland Hotel bakery.

Oh well, we learn from experience.
