Has anyone other than me thought about the possibility of this?
Oriental Land Company is now publicly traded, and it would be a very easy way for Disney to increase the revenue it receives from TDL and TDS. To me this seems like a more sure fire way to make money than buying a $3 billion cable channel and being stuck with an additional $2 billion in debt from the channel. If you ask me, that $7.5 billion in cash that Disney is raising could go a long way in making Disney a majority shareholder in OLC, if not buying the whole company out right (I doubt this because I believe that OLC's original parent company still has a stake in the company now.) Maybe AnotherVoice has heard some juicy details about this one.
