a source close to the company but not dis commenting...dis had NO COMMENT. who knows what the source close to the co is...cd be anyone... cd be a janitor who overheard a conversation to or someone trying to drive up share prices and force out the shorts. it will be interesting to see if anything comes of it. if it does i'll kick myself! but no way am i picking up pks stock!

Well if this happens we might know what the 5th park will be ........... Six Flags Orlando/wdw........

thrill ride park ..... with DC comic to go against universal's marvel...
and all those rumors of Disney getting the Harry Potter rights for attactions.... never know......... But this could be a good thing... Disney might could get some of the WB movie rights for attactions to redo MGM studios park...........

I would hope that if Disney bought SF, they would clean up the parks...JMHO

DW and I haven't been to SFOT this year, but we went a lot 2 years ago, and a couple of times last year. The parks are clean, not sparkling. DW thinks that part of it is because the sidewalks are "Blacktops".

Contemplating buying more theme parks, while possibly selling the Disney Store chain??? if this does happen, someone is going to hear fromthis stockholder, who will have pelenty of time to write letters when she is out of a job!

Esp if they turned SFOT into a mini-WDW right here in the middle of Texas. SFOT is pretty much the PITS these days. Yes...they have some cool rides (Batman and Superman Tower of Power come to mind) but everything else SUCKS!

Six Flags is very much a Warner Bros. park, and the Harry Potter rights are Warner Bros. It would surprise me very much if either of these rumors came true...

I sure hope not !!
the one outside Chicago has been going downhill for years and it would take considerable capital outlay to get it to any Disney standard.
Besides, I like the idea of a limited number of Disney parks world wide to keep it an "experience" rather than just another trip to an amusement park.
If the '70's and '80's taught business anything--you'd think it would be that to diversify into many different areas is suicide.
Disney needs to keep what they've got fresh and interesting--not add more headaches and problems to their mix.

The Six Flags Great Adventure in NJ attempts to mimic so many Disney things, but is far from being Disneyesque in service or otherwise. We went for a day trip last week. Their latest thing is "pin trading" ---yup, lanyards and all. I couldn't believe it. I would think Disney would start to get irritated by their feeble attempts and imitation.

I would love for Disney to take all of them over and clean them up a little.
