Does anyone know what the going price per point is that Disney will buy back a contract through resale?

If you're referring to Disney's right of first refusal, they'd pay the agreed upon price in the purchase/sale contract.

Thansk Lew for your response..

And yes that is what I am referring to. But I was just wondering if anyone knew the lowest cost per point that they will not let go through.

I think awhile ago it was at $50.00 a point then I guess it went up to $55.00 a point. And I was just wondering if anyone knew if you could still purchase a resale at $55.00 a point without Disney buying it back.

Sorry, I don't have a good feel for the CURRENT Disney buy back level. Rumours had it at $55 pp, then less reliable rumors at around $58 pp. Maybe some that have bought recently have a better feel for the "official" level. I'd be carefull relying on the word of a timeshare broker. They have a vested interest in completing a sale and as a group, I'd be very cautious of them. If you have someone you've dealt with and feel comfortable, that might help some. Good luck and let us know what happens.

I believe the price is anything below $57.50 [appx] per point. We are in the process of buying an add on from a very reliable person [Thanks again Ed] who shared the info with us-I believe it is pretty accurate.

$57.50 is what I was told also.

Thank you everyone for your input. I will let you know how the resale comes out, and how creative I can get with numbers.

I thought Disney had the right to match any offer I got from a private buyer. If I have a buyer at $80.00 per point,Disney can't make force me to accept 67.00.

Yes, Disney has the right of first refusal. If you have an offer to buy at $80 / point, Disney has the first right to buy the contract at that price.

The $57.50 / point is the implied floor at which Disney is exercising their right of first refusal. If you offer to sell your Boardwalk points to someone below $57.50 / point, it is likely that Disney will instead buy the points from you at the contract price. If you offer to sell above $57.50 / point, Disney will likely not exercise their right to buy.

I suspect that the per point price may be lower on contracts for Vero or Hilton Head. Disney may well let those contracts be sold at $55 / point on the resale market.
