Hello! I am staying at a Disney resort hotel during our trip in late September, and was wondering how early the buses run from the resort to the parks? I would like to get to the parks plenty early in the morning...so I was just curious if they had a set schedule for getting started in the mornings?
Thanks!

They usually begin running about 1 to 1.5 hours before park opening

Buses start running around 6:30AM when they run approximately every half hour.

Until about an hour before the respective park opens when the interval becomes about every 20 minutes.

More often if there are more people waiting but not always enough for each arriving bus to pick up everyone already waiting.

I would suggest being at the bus stop about 75 minutes before the time you need to get to the park turnstiles.

As noted, the buses to the parks start by 6:30...but they tend to run less frequently than the 'regular' buses do. So, if you miss the 6:30 bus (or thereabouts), you may have to wait up to 25 mins. Now, having said that, I have arrived at the bus stop as 'my' bus was departing. But, I usually didn't have to wait more than 10/15 mins for the next one. I'm not sure if the departing bus calls it in that there are people waiting or what....maybe.
The only time you have to worry is if you have, for instance, an early breakfast ADR, at a nearby resort. If you have to be at, say, 1900 Park Fare, at the GF, for 7:45am, you need to be out at the MK bus stop by 6:45. That way, if you just miss the bus, you will be on the next one. Then, you will take time getting the monorail over to the GF from MK, or perhaps the boats will be running. But, you do need to plan accordingly and leave plenty of time for early morning travel.

This is perfect! I have an 8am ADR at the CRT. We will be catching that first bus. Maybe it will be some good kodak moments in front of MK while most people are not there yet. :)

I wonder if any Photopass Photographers will be out yet. hmmm. Only 59 days until I find out. :)

We got some of our best pictures in front of the castle when we had an early ADR at CRT. There is no one around! Be ready with your camera and you'll cherish those pictures...

QUICK highjack--Hello from MN (North St Paul) & I noticed your St Cloud picture :) My son just graduated & will be going to SCSU in the fall :)!

BUT..Thanks OP for the post, I was wondering the same thing. We have an early breakfast at Boma & I wasn't sure if we needed a cab or could count the Disney buses....

Getting to Boma might be harder though, due to it not being in a park and needing to transfer buses. Getting a bus to a resort might be more difficult before the park opens.

Although I did once have to return to Pop immediately after getting to Epcot and only waited for 5 min. Granted I was the only person on the bus.....

Just catch the bus to AK, and tell the driver you are going to Boma for breakfast. The driver will notify the dispatcher, and you should get a bus to AKL within a few minutes.

Allow 1 hour travel time.
