Disney Buses or Rent a Car?

We drive to WDW, and once there have had trips where we exclusively used the car and others where we exclusively used the buses. These days what it generally boils down to is the park we plan on visiting. EP and HS I almost always drive. MK and AK I almost always take the bus, because I have found driving is more trouble than its worth. At MK driving adds and extra step in getting to the park since you must first go to the Transportation and Ticket Center first, and AK, I must just have bad luck. It is always such a hassle driving and getting parked there for me.

I usedo be a strong proponent of renting a car...but I didolo trip where I couldn't split the cost of one, and it wasn't worth it for just one day. I found that Disney Transportation worked really well, and easily got me where I needed to be in time (Welcome Show at MK was a must). This last trip, I had friends with me, but we decided to put the money we would have spenf renting a car into a nicer resort and I don't regret it. So, I could go either way these days.

We use a combo of Disney Transportation and Taxis! We generally use bus/monorails/boats in the afternoon and coming back to the resort. We take taxis for early morning travel and ADRS that would cause a super long bus ride. Works perfectly for us!

We do this as well. The cab rides are never too expensive and are generally very quick.

I drive quite a bit in my daily life, so not having to deal with traffic, directions, and driving is a big plus for my vacation starting with checking my bags through and having them delivered to my room via the Magical Express.:cool1:
